BackdraftLive showAbout BackdraftBackdraft is a live show that combines amazing fire effects with pyrotechnics and surprising but minor "drop" as you watch a scene from Backdraft flow into life. Includes a pre-show, where the director and actors of Backdraft talk about the movie and how dangerous fire is. Then you head into the next room, where a demonstrator shows you how they create some fire effects. And then you finally enter the big show where the madness begins! -- Last edited by Nick Markham [Update this description | Read previous versions] Photos from BackdraftSafety
Readers' Opinions
Terrifying and awe inspiring, Backdraft is one of those attractions that will never get old for me. - Jacob Sundstrom An interesting attraction about fire effects. The first two sections of the attraction show clips of the film's star's and director talking about firefighters and the movie. But by far the best part of the attraction is the climactic warehouse scene where most things catch on fire and barrels are flying through the air. This scene can get pretty hot and intense, but it's worth lining up for the attraction just to experience this scene. A neat attraction, that I recommend watching. Since it is a theatre type attraction many people enter at a single time. People are admitted every 10 minutes, so wait times rarely exceed that. - Manny Barron 5/10 It's ... interesting. - Jack Borgeson Great Movie And Show So Sad That Its Closing. - Sheldon Gel Very good show Fascinating exhibit on a good movie - Sarah E Good show, although a bit dated, this ride shows you how crazy fire can get. Anyone that's been around this amount of fire in real life can respect this attraction. Something so beautiful as a spire of flame can also be so destructive. That being said, it's not exactly worth repeat visits, maybe once every few years... doesn't even help you dry off from Jurassic Park! =P - Brandon Mendoza Does anybody even remember WATCHING this movie? I really hope they clear out Backdraft for something more recent. I mean, Back to the Future is a different story. Backdraft wasn't exactly a classic...the show's pretty insipid. "Wow! Fire! Wow! We fell two centimeters! Yayyy!" - Bingley Lee this show is a waste of space after you see it once, it's not cool anymore, go see it, don't let me stop you, the 2 video's in the start of it are interesting if you havent seen it before, and the live fire scene is pretty cool at the end, but once is enough and its like blah, do we have to go to it. I say remove it and build a new ride in that building or something. - Matthew Shelman OKay but it shows its age. In the preshow, Kurt Russell was like 20 yrs. younger! - Dan Rosenberg Bit dated but it was ok, interesting. - Jennifer Sharpe
