Monster Rock reviews
Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Monster Rock, a live show at Universal Studios Singapore.
Written by Robert Niles This 15-minute show features vocalists inspired by the classic Universal monsters - including Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Wolfman, the Phantom of the Opera, and the Mummy. The "monsters" are brought back to life by a computer whiz rock 'n roll fan, who leads the crew in a medley of pop and rock tunes (with lyrics sanitized for a family-friendly show).
Readers' rating:
This corny, campy show goes on a little too long for its own good. Still, there are worse ways to get out of the Singapore heat for 20 minutes. If you hold the classic Universal monsters in any sort of esteem, beware! You'll never get the image of Frankie, Drac and the gang popping and locking to Flo Rida out of your brain. Some things are truly horrifying. - Bryan Wawzenek DAY: Friday. TIME: 1.40pm. SHOW DURATION: 25 minutes. TIP: Everywhere has a good view of the stage so it's not necessary to push and shove to get a good seat. DESCRIPTION: Fun show, as already mentioned a short collection of rock and pop songs (mainly from the 80s) sung by Universal monsters with a very tacky storyline (but that's part of it isn't it? :P). Don't expect a Broadway production but it's an enjoyable break from walking! - Daniel Smith be prepared to queue up if you visit during the WeekEnds, after all, its mentioned in the 'SHOW GUIDE' you have to queue up 30mins before the show starts. - jeremy cheong More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
