Theme Park Insider readers offer their ratings and reviews for Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D, a dark ride at Warner Bros. Movie World.
Written by Robert Niles This 3D interactive shooter themed to Justice League characters is a world first.
Riders join Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Supergirl in a fight to save Earth from destruction. They are aided by the amazing Cyborg who recruits guests for the volunteer force and demonstrates how to defeat the alien spores that are attacking citizens in cities throughout the world. Featuring a mix of state-of-the-art animatronics and 3D video technology, together with numerous special effects, the five minute ride incorporates eight huge 3D screens, twenty custom vehicles equipped with special laser optical blasters, a dramatic custom musical score, numerous animatronic citizens whom riders must fight to save from the alien spores’ evil mind control, and culminates in a dramatic struggle between Superman and the evil villain, in which riders play a decisive role. Points will be awarded as you ride In your transportation pod as to how many aliens you have destroyed. “Our goal was to create a ride based on the Justice League heroes that could be a fun and exciting experience not only for hardcore fans of the franchise, but also those not so familiar with the characters,” said Sally Corporation CEO John Wood. “There’s a lot of action and interaction throughout the ride, and you’re immersed in the experience. There are full-scale three-dimensional sets, scenery, animatronics and special effects throughout, and blended into the city streets and spaceship interiors are high-definition CGI animated sets and characters…allowing us to take the action to new heights.” To create this one-of-a-kind dark ride, Sally Corp. pulled together an experienced team including Threshold Animation Studios, Alterface, Techni-Lux, RealD, Bose, Bertazzon, MSI Design, Inc. and Sculpt Studios (Australia), among others.

Readers' rating:
Opening today is the newest Sally Corp. addition to theme park attractions worldwide. Located at Warner Bros. Movie World at the Hold Coast in Australia, "Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D" is a world first shooter, combining real3D technology with animatronics. Entering the Hall of Justice guests are invited to tour the facilities, but of course, something goes terribly wrong. Televisions news reports tell of a city in disarray. The evil Starro has unleashed mayhem and is infecting the people of various cities and guests must assist the Justice League to defeat him. Riding in pods of 4 and donning 3D glasses you travel through the streets of well known comic book cities. Using your laser gun you aim for the numerous targets placed around the streets. At the end of the ride you can compare points with friends on your digital scoreboard. Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D is a commendable addition to the Sally Corp ride arsenal and a great ride for the whole family to enjoy. - Nathan Alexander More attraction and restaurant ratings: |
