Swamp Thing

Roller coaster
Minimum height to ride: 44 inches

Description

Climb aboard and hopefully escape the jaws of the great North American Alligator on SWAMP THING, Wild Advenutures ninth and newest roller coaster. Guests will love this smooth, fun introduction into the world of coasters. With a minimum ride height of 44 inches and no loops, younger guests will get all the feeling of the big coasters.

But the biggest challenge is yet to come, as you round a curve and take a dip toward a family of hungry alligators. Make sure you watch your feet.

This is an enjoyable mid-sized hanging (dangle your feet) coaster. It is an excellent "starter" coaster for children ages 10 through 14, and is obviously popular with all ages. The initial drop has a sideways turn, which minimizes the "stomach in the throat" sensation that is disliked by younger children. I was able to coax my timid 10 year old daughter (who dislikes thrill rides)to ride this and she loved it. M.K.S. - M.K. Stringer

Again, it's a really short coaster. The gators below are kind of neat, but otherwise there is nothing notable about this ride. - colleen f
