We chose the back row, rumored to have the best ride (the Ride Op gave us this recommendation). In some ways, I wish we had waited for the front then, but my first ride was still great. When people say it’s not as intense as Batman: the Ride, I would agree for the most part. B:TR is non- stop intensity, while Patriot has it moments, and spreads out its elements more. However, I really like the zero g roll on Patriot, and the ride better overall. The spread of the elements gives the ride a nice feeling of speed throughout. It does seem Patriot is missing one more inversion. I think either the tilted helix should have been made a second loop, or an element should have been added to the little uphill stretch leading into the final corkscrew section. My second ride in the third row came through as well, giving a smooth ride. Worlds of Fun really got the colors right on this coaster, it is beautiful. 8/10 - Jake Jones Great smooth ride. The front row is definitely the best, but all rows are good. It has plenty of inversions and great airtime, and is a smooth and quiet ride the whole time. - Jake Gould I rated this as good until I rode in the front. I have now moved it up to commendable as riding in the front row makes for a very fun ride. - Carl Stovall This ride is the Best Ride in the Park and is the most up to date ride for a behind the curve park - Dakotta Hagar The Patriot is not the best B&M coaster in the world, but it is a very good ride and one of the best attractions in the park. Smooth and exciting, with lots of twists, turns, inversions, and some nice airtime, it is a real winner. - James Rao I was really excited when WOF was due to get a B&M suspended, but ended up being a little disappointed. Due to the low-to-the-ground layout and several stretches designed to have you fly just above the ground, I find you really don't get the feel of the ride unless you're in the front row (which can have a long wait). Those low straight stretches are wasted on the other six rows. Still, it is so far the best addition to the park in this decade. - Todd Houts
