Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom: [1 + / 0 -] Best money I ever spent was a $3 mini foam fan attached to a palm sized water sprayer. It eve had a hook on it to latch to belt. Great when waiting in long lines in the sun.

Universal Orlando: [0 + / 0 -] Most character greets (Simpsons, Sponge Bob, Scooby, Lorax, Betty Boop, etc) are in Universal Studios. Islands of Adventure does have Marvel superheros (Capt. America, Spiderman, etc) but not much else character-wise.

Universal Orlando: [0 + / 0 -] Consider annual passes for your family but get 1 "preferred" pass and "power" passes for all others. The preferred pass is a bit more but allows discounted on-site hotel rates, free parking and 10% discount on food and merch. Pays for itself quickly.

Universal Orlando: [1 + / 0 -] If you do buy a refillable bottle at the park you get free ice water refills from any of the vendors (soda is about $1). Also, despite what the label says they are good subsequent days not just the day of purchase.

Disneyland Paris: [629 + / 70 -] If you don't like the breakfast in your hotel, go to the Plaza Gardens in Fantasyland early; they give free breakfasts to people staying in the hotels.

All parks: [593 + / 61 -] Oldie but a goodie - Always work your way backwards through a park instead of stopping at the first attraction you get to. You will beat 60% of the crowds.

Disney's Hollywood Studios: [334 + / 26 -] If you're on hand for park opening and want to ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, make sure to get a FastPass for one of these before getting in line for the other.

Universal Orlando: [323 + / 19 -] Show your AAA card whenever you buy food or merchandise. Even though a sign may not be displayed, it's an automatic 10% discount.

All parks: [298 + / 23 -] Take a photo of where you park with your digital camera. Easy to remember.

All parks: [312 + / 45 -] Bring individual packets of Crystal Light etc, as all counter services in most parks will give you a glass of ice water free of charge. Make your own ice tea, lemonade etc!

Disneyland: [310 + / 48 -] Riding the steam train to the Main Street station can be a great way to get out of the park when Main Street and the hub in front of the castle are packed during parades and fireworks.

Cedar Point: [263 + / 10 -] If you get in line for a ride just before park close, they will keep running the ride till the entire line is cleared before closing the ride for the day. Its a Great way to ensure that you get to ride the Maverick, or the Dragster.

Legoland California: [267 + / 15 -] MODEL MOMS- If you are a Mom (Dad, grandparent or caregiver) of a child under 5, you can get a discounted ticket that is good every Thursday throughout the year and includes parking, and other discounts.

Other Tips for All Parks

All parks: [374 + / 126 -] Smoke in the smoking sections! Because it is really annoying for the rest of us!!! Plus, you can get a misdemeanor if you don't!

All parks: [259 + / 50 -] Please treat the park employees as people. They do not personally see your 80 plus dollar admission. They are working usually for very little. Plus a little niceness goes along way.

All parks: [210 + / 22 -] If you're going to get an annual pass, add parking to at least one pass (if it isn't included already). It seems expensive at first, but at more than $10 a pop for parking at most parks, it pays off in the end.

All parks: [217 + / 32 -] Want to avoid the big crowds? Try going when the kids are in school on a weekday if you're able to. Families tend to come on weekend and when the kids are out of school.

All parks: [228 + / 44 -] take a backpack with snacks and water for you and the kids it can save you some serious bucks

All parks: [50 + / 3 -] Bring your own poncho if you don't like getting soaked on water rides. You can find them for less than $1 at stores like Wal-Mart. They often cost $8 in the park. Plus you don't feel obligated to have to carry them around when you are done with them.

All parks: [48 + / 12 -] Wear shoes that are comfrotable and that have proper support. Most parks will have you doing a lot of walking. A lot of folks get really fatigued (or hurt) due to wearing cheap sandals or flipflops. Good shoes make for a good day.

All parks: [38 + / 5 -] Crokies (adjustabel eyeglass holders) are indispensable if you're a roller coaster fan. Get them at a pharmacy or gas station, and make sure they tighten to your head. Great for sunglasses, too.

All parks: [33 + / 3 -] Best time to get on the rides is during a parade or other main event show. Lines are significantly shorter!

All parks: [42 + / 13 -] Buy your tickets/book your hotel through AAA ,if you are a member. If you aren't join, you'll save the fee with one trip and you'll have someone to call if you get a flat on the Beeline.

All parks: [48 + / 20 -] Ask someone to take a picture of your entire family/group on your cell phone, in case someone gets lost, you can show the pic and ask for specific help finding them.

All parks: [37 + / 9 -] Re-apply sunscreen every couple of hours. Your skin will thank you! Re-apply even more often if you sweat a lot or get soaked. Make sure there's coverage of both UVA & UVB

All parks: [48 + / 20 -] Don't EVER unbuckle your seatbelt while riding! The ride will stop, and YOU will be thrown out of the park!

All parks: [34 + / 7 -] While waiting in line, don't stand just 2 inches away from the person in front of you. Not everyone from every country is comfortable with that. Always keep personal space in mind.

All parks: [33 + / 6 -] Night before going make list of all the attractions everyone has to experience... get map of park online and plot out day beginning at back of park.... stay at hotel near park and with free breakfast, morning of eat and go to park when it first opens

All parks: [47 + / 23 -] Write your cellphone # in sharpie on your childs upper arm on the inside. If you get separated they can get someone in a store or a security person to find you.

All parks: [34 + / 11 -] Wear a wallet sized purse with long strap that just fits tickets, digital camera and cash. You can stash it in pocket of cargo jeans or inside your shirt when you go on roller coasters. No need for lockers.

All parks: [23 + / 3 -] If you decide that you want to come back to the park you're visiting, look into upgrading your ticket to a multi-day or annual pass before you leave. Almost all parks will allow you to apply the cost of that day's ticket to the new pass.

All parks: [26 + / 6 -] Using a spray bottle to spritz yourself with a water mist will cool you down a lot!!

All parks: [21 + / 2 -] Snowglobes are a favorite souvenir but airline security no longer permits them in carry on luggage because they exceed the liquid restrictions. Pack your snowglobe into checked luggage or have it shipped!

All parks: [25 + / 6 -] If you have a small GPS, take the position of your parked car and enter it as a POI (point of interest.) Then remember to take the GPS with you! If lost, it will lead you right back to the car.

All parks: [30 + / 12 -] Use the single riders lines whenever possible and pick a spot in the exit area to reconnect with your party. It will allow you and party members to ride several times over a short period of time.

All parks: [21 + / 3 -] Moleskin = life saver! Put on the balls of your feet and it will cushion them with all walking but save your feet from scrapes from the pool bottom as well. I buy a package and bring cuticle scissors to cut to appropriate size.

All parks: [28 + / 10 -] bring a wet washcloth on hot days in a plastic baggy- good for a quick cool off on the back of your neck and you can keep it cool with a few pieces of ice in the baggy

All parks: [26 + / 8 -] If you want to get some great pictures of fireworks, make sure to use a digital camera with its night setting. Keep your hand still and you will have some great pictures!

All parks: [43 + / 26 -] Drawstring Bags are a great object to bring to a park. You can put all your stuff in it when going on roller coasters and wear it as a backpack.

All parks: [27 + / 11 -] Give kids a fixed amount of spending money before going to a park. (Or have them earn it.) This way, you'll avoid whining and begging over souvenirs.

All parks: [26 + / 10 -] If you lost your hat/keys/sunglasses during a ride, it's possible that you'll be able to find it at Lost & Found the next day. Even if you are already back home, call and if they have the item, they will likely courier back to you free of charge.

All parks: [16 + / 1 -] To save time with lockers, when you buy merchandise, ask them to send it to the main gift shop in the park for you to pick up later.

All parks: [15 + / 0 -] Either buy or bring a water bottle strap that can go over your shoulder. Who wants to walk around all day carrying one in your hand?

All parks: [23 + / 10 -] Use Backpack Etiquette - Be aware that your 'personal space' has now increased and your "load" is now in another child's face. Don't turn from side to side abruptly or Swing your backpack up on your shoulder - Place it there gently

All parks: [16 + / 3 -] If you feel dizzy on a ride or have a feeling the ride will make you dizzy, pretend you are driving the ride. Don't let it toss you around.

All parks: [21 + / 8 -] Ask the human resources department at your employer if it sells discount tickets to theme parks. Many do, as well as discount tickets to local theaters, zoos and attractions. Check those prices against the parks' websites and pick the better deal.

All parks: [12 + / 1 -] If you have an iPhone or Android phone, I reccomend "Things to Do In Theme Park Queues" - especialy if you're visiting on a weekend or during school holidays.

All parks: [20 + / 9 -] if you get a fast pass for a ride then you dont want to go on that rideor you have dinner reservations give it to a nother family it is the nice thing to do

All parks: [11 + / 0 -] Instead of purchasing the pictures immediately after each ride...keep the pic #'s to all of them then figure out which ones you would like to purchase at the end of the day! You will save money!

All parks: [16 + / 5 -] Bring a bag of carrots, grapes and other healthy munchies. Go sit on a grassy area and take off your shoes. Take 10 :)

All parks: [26 + / 15 -] When traveling to a park by air, have everyone wear slip-on shoes, to go through the security line faster.

All parks: [14 + / 3 -] dont wear jewlery on the rides they come off during the ride... also dont bring extra things like a bag to the park or anything that you cant bring on the ride they get annoying when you have to put them in lockers or worry about it the entire time.

All parks: [12 + / 1 -] Buy a cheap folding stroller and tie a colored bandana to it for a quick and easy find in a sea of strollers. Also take some Climbing Clips and attached them to the stroller, for carrying items. Beware of too much weight!!

All parks: [13 + / 3 -] Take a small fanny pack, repeat, small. This adds to the stuff you can take on the ride with you, such as extra sunglasses, snacks, park map, etc. Most all rides allow small fanny packs.

All parks: [10 + / 1 -] Before entering the park, take a clear and upclose picture of your kids. If they get lost this shows security personal what they look like and what specifically they are wearing.

All parks: [13 + / 4 -] Stay at a hotel near the park, so you can get to the park sooner than everybody else!

All parks: [17 + / 8 -] Flying to a city during peak travel times? (For example, holiday weekends.) Give yourself an extra day to get there. If a flight gets overbooked, they'll ask for volunteers to take a seat on the next flight. You'll get a free ticket for your next trip!

All parks: [10 + / 1 -] If you feel a little sick after a ride, take a break and chew on some Ginger Gum. Just don't chew it on the ride!

All parks: [10 + / 1 -] Wear comfortable tennis shoes. The day, and walk, is long, and you will lose flip-flops on some coasters.

All parks: [13 + / 5 -] Ride single on popular rides even knowing you and family might be seporated it is only for the lenght of the ride you will get a lot more done that way

All parks: [12 + / 4 -] To treat sunburn, apply a heavy amount of aloe vera gel, maximum strength formula. Works wonders.

All parks: [12 + / 4 -] If your traveling as a solo rider or a couple use the single rider line. The queues start at the exit of some rides. Keep walking until you find a cast member.

All parks: [12 + / 5 -] Darien Lake- incorporate a general admission price for parents/grandparents who do not go on rides = happier grandparents spending more money on food and snacks at Darien Lake Theme Park thank you

All parks: [9 + / 2 -] get to the park 30 mins. before it offically opens

All parks: [40 + / 33 -] Are your kids seat-kickers on airplanes? Take off their shoes. They'll be more comfortable, and not kick. Take off yours for comfort, too. Just, please, wear socks!

All parks: [7 + / 2 -] Backpacks and purses are tiresome to carry, one resentful person ends up hauling everything, and most rides don't permit them. Fanny packs are dorky and get in the way of lap belts. Cargo pants/shorts are the solution to enjoying an unemcumbered day.

All parks: [11 + / 6 -] Make Lunch your biggest meal of the day. Light eating (popcorn, pretzels, etc.) no big deal in the later evening.

All parks: [7 + / 2 -] Food and drinks can be a real money drain. If you're in a group (or better yet, a couple), share meals. Many park restaurants have sampler platters (Epcot, BGW). Sharing makes meals cheaper and you can try more things throughout the day.

All parks: [11 + / 6 -] If you got really bad sunburn, witch hazel is a good soothing treatment to get rid of that annoying pain.

All parks: [4 + / 0 -] Don't forget where you parked! Take a photo of the Lot and Row number with your cellphone or camera. Just remember to do it again if you switch Parks during the day.

All parks: [6 + / 2 -] create a home made first aid kit with band-aids, tylenol,burn cream, tweezers,alcohol pads, ect things could get pricey when your kids or yourself run into a small accident.

All parks: [4 + / 0 -] Before leaving home make a list of all medications/dosages on a small card to tuck in your wallet. Also note health conditions/doc's name-number/insurance info. You never know - this info can help responders & save your life.

All parks: [4 + / 0 -] (Specifically water parks), parks may close during the regular storm in the afternoon but if you go back after that you will find the park is almost empty!

All parks: [19 + / 15 -] Make sure small children wear a dog tag around their neck with full name and your cell phone number on it. Where you are staying helps a lot too. (by former cop.)

All parks: [9 + / 5 -] If you're going w/o kids, take only what you need to survive (ie. cash, ID, debit card, spare car key). No need for cell phones, bulky keys, expensive watches or George Constanza wallets.

All parks: [7 + / 3 -] Get a bit of motion sickness? Try Ginger Gum! It's natural and tasty, too. (Just don't chew them on rides.)

All parks: [30 + / 26 -] Never close your eyes when riding a roller coaster. That will just make you dizzier, as your eyes help your sense of balance adjust.

All parks: [8 + / 4 -] If you're allergic to a certain food and are cautious about what goes into your food make sure to ask the server where or how will the food be cooked...saves you a trip to first aid.

All parks: [5 + / 1 -] For all Six Flags parks: When buying merchandise, be sure to flash your SF season pass if you have one for a 15% discount (or something around there).

All parks: [7 + / 3 -] For Six Flags park. Use your re-fillable drink cup for ice water. Instead of re-filling with a soft drink each time, ask for ice water. It is free, more refreashing than bringing your own bottle water (and cheaper).

All parks: [5 + / 1 -] Plan for heat in summer months. Stay hydrated throughout the day (water or sports drinks, not soda) and dress sensibly. Light colored athletic wicking shirts can make a huge difference. They repel the heat, allow quicker cooling, and dry quicker.

All parks: [6 + / 2 -] You have to know you restrictions. Not sure about about the ride's speed rythem ask a ride mate or the conveyor. Just ask.

All parks: [3 + / 0 -] Buy tickets from AAA. It saves you alot of $$$. Plus, some parks like Universal offer a 10% off at resturaunts and gift shops just by showing your card! Plus, if a flat tire happens, they will come and fix it. ;)

All parks: [3 + / 0 -] If you are going to Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers, get a Tesco Clubcard and go to this link http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/ . Type in the theme park you want to go to in the search bar and you can exchange vouchers for tickets. :):)xx

All parks: [4 + / 1 -] The day of your trip take pictures of all your childern with your Digital Camera and measure their height so you can share them with Security in case they get lost; they'll find them faster.

All parks: [3 + / 3 -] If your bringing alot of kids for a birthday party or something, bring a couple of adults and split into groups like slow rides, medium rides, and fast rides. It really helps.

All parks: [14 + / 14 -] If you have little ones, get them inexpensive fanny packs to carry their stuff around. They can put a disposible camera, little toys, and autograph books in it. Its better if you have water bottles as well.

All parks: [0 + / 1 -] I would advise that you leave all of the main rides until the last 2 hours of the day as there are lots of coach trips most of them leave before the end of the day therfore the q lines are around 5-10 minuets long including Oblivion, Nemesis, lon]

All parks: [7 + / 8 -] If the park has a lagoon in the middle (Epcot, IOA, Freestyle), go clockwise (go left around the lagoon).

All parks: [4 + / 5 -] Most know that being further back on a train=more air, but most take it too far. Remember visuals. Sitting in the front row of the back car gives great air and won't leave you with a seat back in your face. Woodies are smoother here to boot.

All parks: [3 + / 7 -] If you are having trouble finding your car, hit the panic button on your key or starter (if you have one). Follow the sound or look for the flashing lights. Turn it off as soon as you know where you are heading though!

All parks: [9 + / 13 -] For a more comfortable Disney experience, go to Disneyland parks during the summer months and Disney World Parks during the winter months. You'll appreciate the lower summer humidity in CA.

All parks: [11 + / 15 -] On water rides, bring something to cover your clothes or they will get wet. This would not be the case during the summer. If necessary, bring extra clothes with you.
