SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando is one of the world's largest marine-themed parks, offering exhibits and live shows featuring thousands of species from oceans worldwide, from dolphins, manatees, sharks, and polar bears, to the park's signature "Shamu" orcas (more popularly known as killer whales).

SeaWorld also has plenty of non-animal (but often maritime or marine life themed) attractions, too, including the roller coasters Kraken and Manta, which won the Theme Park Insider Award for the nation's best new attraction when it debuted in 2009. Parents with small children will want to take them to Shamu's Happy Harbor play area for much less intense thrills.

Food's also an attraction at the park (which used to be own by the Anheuser Busch company). SeaWorld Orlando typically offers special dining experiences such as Dine With Shamu, in addition to its regular collection of restaurants. Upcharge tours and animal interactions such as the Dolphins Up-Close Tour and Beluga Interaction Program, are also available Check at the park's entrance for what is available when you visit.

Buy your tickets in advance on SeaWorld's website, which typically offers online-only deals. Check SeaWorld's website for park operating hours, too.

SeaWorld is located at the intersection of Interstate 4 and the Central Florida Parkway. Scroll down to links for Theme Park Insider readers' reviews of all the attractions and restaurants at SeaWorld Orlando. Or search our archives for more news about the park.

Seaworld is one of the best parks at Christmas time. It is truly amazing. They go all out with their decorations, even with a "Sea of Trees" scattered around the lake in the middle of the park. Special Christmas shows for Shamu (killer whales) and Clyde and Seamore (sea lions, otters, and walruses) are also available online during the winter holidays. -- Last edited by Leo Lin on November 2, 2013
