Duffy gets another friend, at Tokyo DisneySea

Duffy the Disney Bear might not have caught on in America, but he owns the crowd at Tokyo DisneySea. No dummies, the folks at Disney have worked to expand their Duffy franchise by adding characters, including his girlfriend ShellieMay, and their artist cat friend Gelatoni.

And starting March 30, add one more: aspiring Broadway dancer StellaLou. Here's how they met, according to the resort's press release.

One day, Duffy came to American Waterfront and saw a little girl bunny named StellaLou who was practicing a dance in front of the S.S. Columbia. When she stumbled, Duffy called out to her in concern. StellaLou told Duffy that she dreamed of becoming a dancer. Duffy thought that a dream was just something you had when sleeping, but StellaLou explained that a dream is also seeing what you want to be when you grow up. StellaLou was practicing so hard, Duffy was sure her dream would come true.

TDS will be selling new StellaLou merchandise and offering a couple of StellaLou-themed food items, including a chicken and avocado-shrimp salad sandwich on lavender-colored bread at the New York Deli, served in a souvenir case.

omg, I think I might have to start on insulin to handle the sugar shock. This would make the Teletubbies gag!
