Changing your Pattern\Routine.

Do you use the same pattern when visiting a Theme Park?

I realized when we visit Universal Orlando, we often use the same pattern. We visit Studios side first take a right and head towards ET.

Then the next day we visit IOA and head towards One Fish Two Fish.

So, I was thinking if you change your usual pattern will the park experience be different? Will it somehow feel different?

It can be. Going into Disneyland in Main Street entrance is different than monorail to the park. Likewise going to Epcot through International rather than main entrance.

Still, I do Hollywood Studios, I'd still start at Hollywood Boulevard rather than another spot so some patterns still in there.

IDK, when it comes to "destination parks", we are typically visiting when there's a new attraction, land, or experience, so that will dictate our touring plan. If there's nothing new, we do typically fall into a similar touring plan from our previous visit, but those visits are pretty rare.

For our local regional amusement/theme parks, we have some typical patterns, but will often prioritize certain rides or shows which may also change based on when we physically arrive in the park and perceived crowd levels observed in the parking lot.

It depends on the park. For the last year my wife and I have had annual passes to Disney World, so we tend to take our time and try to see a few things that we haven't had time for before while working in a few favorites. When we visit Universal or Sea World we tend to try to maximize our rides without overdoing things. Then there's the issue of how big the group is and who's in the group. If it's a big family group we tend to split up with the coaster fanatics going off to hit the wild rides while the less adventurous souls will find the more sedate attractions. If it is a smaller group we tend to stick with the less rowdy stuff so people don't have to wait around while you're queuing for something they don't want to ride.

Oh, and Brian, you're changing your pattern by not using any random capitalizations. The folks over at the NSA have been analyzing your posts for cryptic messages, and this one is going to throw them for a loop.

Usually the strategy is to rush the busiest ride first and go with the flow from there.

Hey Tim, I have been watching Stranger Things on Netflix and there is a Russian team sending cryptic messages – so I figured I would give it a shot. But Remember a Leopard can’t change it’s Spots…. BIG S Big S in Spots…. hahahahah

That sure is a relief, Brian. The NSA people thought you were trying to communicate with space aliens.
