SF Mexico Spring Break

I went to SF Mexico a few weeks ago and I got to say: The park was very clean, pretty, well operated, everything was open and seemed to open on time, and we encountered virtually no downtimes. The staff for the most part were very efficient and friendly. One thing I noticed was that all of the restrooms (that I went into at least) seemed newly renovated and they literally ALL had a full time restroom attendant.

The two standout coasters were great. IMO Superman is easily be the best Morgan hyper, that thing is an airtime machine and has spectacular views from the lift. Medusa was fantastic as expected as well. Both coasters were running multiple trains and not stacking. The family boomerang is a great addition to the park and definitely adds some kinetic energy to that area around it. Unfortunately the park does have an SLC. regular boomerang, and S&S freespin...I don't ride those so I won't make any more comments about that. A good amount of attractions for kids as well in the DC and Looney Tunes areas. Both kids sections were well maintained and everything was open.

Granted it is a Six Flags park so it did have some of the regular Six Flags gripes. The food was the typical Six Flags mediocre and very expensive. The upkeep of the Dark Knight coaster was really bad, like they had given up on all of the theming/effects and just operated the ride (except of course the annoying as horn at the end that blares over and over every 30 seconds).

Overall I found SF Mexico to be the best ran in the modern Six Flags family of parks. We have spoken ad-nauseum on these boards on the seemingly never ending "race to the bottom" between Six Flags and United Parks, but I found SF Mexico (and Fiesta Texas, which I visited last year), to be far better ran in every category than two of my local United Parks Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa.

I've heard this can actually be a very quality experience. In my opinion, if ran well enough, this can be the Canada's Wonderland of Mexico. Maybe a dive, giga, or launch coaster could really round out this park.

"Maybe a dive, giga, or launch coaster could really round out this park."

If only they actually got the Vekoma Tilt Coaster that was announced for 2025. I wonder what happened to that one - Hmmmm?
