What is the best plan for visiting Dollywood?
Thank you, again, to everyone who has shared their experience in these threads. Today, I would like to ask for your advice for visiting Dollywood.
The big add at Dollywood this year will be NightFlight Expedition, an indoor steel water coaster from Mack Rides. There's still no official opening date yet for that attraction. So, for now, let's talk about how to visit the park without considering NFE.
When would you recommend that visitors arrive in the morning? What attractions should visitors go to first? Is the park's TimeSaver worth buying to skip lines? Or is it not necessary?
What are the best things to eat at Dollywood? And what shows do you recommend? Finally, at what point can you call it a day and leave satisfied that you have seen the park's unique attractions? Or is this now a two-day park?
I love hearing from real people's personal experience here, so thanks again for sharing.

OK, some of this depends on the time of year. You can ride every attraction in the park in a day easily... and this isn't from lack of rides, it's just a really well run park and the crowds are not overwhelming most days (opening weekend, holiday weekends and Christmas season are exceptions). Plan to get there a little before opening, and when the park opens you'll be able to ride whatever you want. Most rides don't typically have more than a 30 minute wait, and if one does, just wait til later in the day. The Dollywood app will be your friend to check back on wait times. Lightning Rod typically commands the longest waits, so if it has a short time when you arrive, turn to the right when you enter the park. Otherwise choose whichever direction looks less crowded. Most of the newer attractions, including this one opening soon will be to the left FYI.
Also to note, the Dollywood resorts are gorgeous, but there are other very lovely well run hotels in the area, some with river views that are extremely affordable.
The park is excellently managed, and visitor numbers are typically quite manageable.

Well I guess the best plan for visiting Dollywood would be to Plan a trip to Dollywood...
Your Welcome (grammar mistake Just for Robby) HAHAHAHAH
