Stranger Things returns for Halloween Horror Nights 2026
We have our second house announcement for 2026's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Netflix's Stranger Things is back, this time with a house inspired by the show's fifth and final season, which dropped late last year.
"As visitors make their way through familiar scenes, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, as well as the haunting realms of the Upside Down and the Abyss, they’ll be hunted at every turn by Demogorgons and other sinister creatures," Universal described the houses in a press release. "With Vecna on their heels, the terror intensifies, pulling guests into an all-or-nothing battle for survival."
As usual, creative teams in Orlando and Hollywood will design thir own version of the house, so fans should expect a different experience on each coast.
The first house announced for both coasts was last year's Academy Award-winning Sinners. Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1 at Universal Studios Florida, and select nights from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Based on the advice of many, I have not watched the final season, despite being the biggest ST fan after season 1. (I barely made it though S4.) Is this franchise still popular enough to support a full-time attraction? I suspect that a HHN house is pushing it.
The main series may be done, but similar to AMC with the Walking Dead and HBO with Game of Thrones, Netflix isn't going to let this franchise die as seen with the recent animated show.
As far as this house goes, I haven't gotten around yet to the final season either and will have to work it in before visiting, but I'm at a "been there done that" kind of vibe with the property at this point. It makes sense to do a final house and come full-circle, but it's always more exciting when we get to see the IPs that haven't shown up yet like Sinners.
As someone who watched the final season, don't. The acting was bad and the plot was worse. I think that this house could be successful, as many of HHN's teen audience was probably peer pressured into watching all of it, but I don't anticipate a whole stranger things land or ride after that disaster of a season.

The last season was decent, there is some fluff and some of the last few episodes could have been shortened.
But one of the final scenes put a tear in my eye. The kids realize childhood is over. Seeing those friends grow up together will remind you of the innocence of youth.
Hey How about a Game of Thrones attraction where you ride a dragon, so much better than a banshee... HAHAHAHAHAAHAH
Why oh why do Universal think this is worthy of a house? It is for pre-high schoolers and less scary than I Love Lucy. It may be popular but not with serious HHNighters. Wrong age demographic.
I am waiting for the Stranger Things attraction or entire area of The Lost Continent to become Stanger.....
