Six Flags delays Tormenta debut
Just got word from Six Flags that the "commissioning process is taking longer than expected," and that Six Flags Over Texas is delaying the June 25 media preview event for Tormenta: Rampaging Run.
That means no public debut on June 26, I suspect. After the Hollywood Drift but earlier this month, I suspect that June 26 is just a cursed date for roller coaster openings, isn't it?

This coaster has been progressing behind schedule since they started tearing down the attractions needed to make room for this record-breaking coaster. The fact that they just started testing a couple of weeks ago led me to believe that the June 26th date was going to be pretty aggressive. However, it's pretty frustrating that SF continues to jump the gun, and seems to be sort of accepted these days, not just from SF, but from others as well. I'll note that Alpen Fury had a delayed media preview last year as well, and Verbolten Forbidden Turn had its media day push back a week, though that coaster still hit its official Grand Opening date (though with significant downtime in its first weekend).

Can't say I'm surprised. How very "six flags" of them.
