Boy plunging 50 feet at Disneyland's Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
I guess a 13-year-old boy at Disneyland tumbled down a 50-foot waterfall after getting out of a moving ride.
I for one am happy Disney finally added a thrilling attraction. I have not seen a story here since the usual Disney Fangirls bickering on the main page about a new Universal park hatched job by some paid Disney hack. Oops, was that too soon?
Maybe Disney can add the stop and get off the ride as an Option...HAHAHAHA
And now the cynic in me waiting for the lawsuit.

Thanks Russell - I have never been to DisneyLand but the logs flume look to be single as to the double Seats in Orlando?
So if the kid freaked out and tried to exit at the last second, there would be no one to deter them?
Yes, the logs on Disneyland's version are singles (bobsled style), and I don't think there are CMs posted along the course (just cameras). When we rode last week, a number of the animatronics were non-functional, most notably the first Tiana figure you see along the first main lift.
This may have changed, but back when I worked at Disneyland there was a cast member stationed on the lift hill. That was a desirable position at the time because you got hazard pay for being above whatever height threshold was worked into the union contract.
I saw the video and it looked like the kid went down head-first. He's incredibly lucky that he didn't break his neck or knock himself out and drown.
FWIW, there was reportedly a CalOSHA investigation, and the ride opened yesterday with no required modifications. However, there is some suspicion that Disney might need to modify the logs to be similar to the ones on Dudley Doo-Right (with lap bars) to add an extra layer of security to ensure guests cannot independently exit the logs mid-course.
