Eagles to open Hard Rock Park, June 2
It looks like the Eagles will headline the opening ceremony for Hard Rock Park
, on June 2 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The classic rock band will play at the park's entrance, followed the next day by another concert by the British band the Moody Blues, for the opening of the park's Nights in White Satin ride.
The park is expected to soft-open to the public in mid-April, with a media preview day in May.
Don't get me wrong here - this is a solid pair of bookings - but was I the only person who somehow expected Zeppelin to show up for this? I'm not complaining in the slightest bit, mind you...

The one time I went to a Hard Rock Cafe, my impression was that most of the patrons there wouldn't know hard rock if it leapt out of the radio and kicked them in the head. With the selection of the Eagles, that seems to apply to management as well.
