Halloween Time has started at the Disneyland Resort, as crowds of fans have returned for the annual display of Halloween decorations, attraction overlays, and themed food.
Over at the Haunted Mansion, the Nightmare Before Christmas-themed Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay has returned for another four-month run. Every year, Disney's team puts together a new gingerbread house for the Ballroom scene, and this year's house celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mansion itself.
The biggest change for this year at Disneyland, though, is the opening of the Halloween Screams fireworks show to all guests this year. Previously presented exclusively during the old Mickey's Halloween Party, the show now runs nightly thanks to the move of the resort's hard-ticket Halloween event over to Disney's California Adventure as Oogie Boogie Bash this year. Note that only the projection show runs Monday through Thursdays, with the full production with fireworks running on the weekends.
But for many Disneyland fans, the enduring attraction at Halloween Time is the food — a feast of themed meals, snacks, and sweets presented at restaurants throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
