SeaWorld Orlando Offers Summer Programs to Lure Locals

July 21, 2020, 1:40 PM · SeaWorld Orlando is hoping that modified versions of Electric Ocean and its Seven Seas Food Festival can draw local visitors during a tough summer for Florida attractions.

Electric Ocean Remix will run on Fridays and Saturdays through the Labor Day weekend, with a final, bonus day on Sunday, September 6. This year's version of SeaWorld's summer event will include the Sea Lions Tonite show, as well as the Light Up the Sky fireworks above the park's lake, around which visitors will be able to watch the show while keeping a safe physical distance from one another, the park said. SeaWorld also will be bringing in DJs, dancers, and atmosphere entertainment on the Waterfront, again with safe physical distancing marked.

In addition to the entertainment, SeaWorld is putting on a modified Seven Seas Food Festival this summer, as well. Taste of Seven Seas will a themed marketplace each Friday through Sunday for the next three weekends.

Finally, SeaWorld will continue its Flicks & Fireworks program for families looking for an alternative to a day in the parks. For $50 a car, you can watch a movie in SeaWorld's parking lot then stay for the Light Up the Sky fireworks. Like Electric Ocean, that event runs Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day Weekend. Movies will be announced on SeaWorld's website. Food trucks will be at the event for takeout, so you can eat in your car while you watch.
