Stranger Things Gets a Drive-Through Halloween Experience

August 20, 2020, 10:35 PM · Stranger Things is coming back for Halloween. No, it won't be for Halloween Horror Nights — Universal has canceled its annual after-hours event. But the Netflix hit will be the theme for a newly announced drive-through haunt experience in Los Angeles.

Secret Cinema and Netflix will present Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience in downtown Los Angeles this October. Tickets for the one-hour experience will go on sale at noon on August 26, with prices starting at $59 per car. Sign-up will be via the Fever app, and you can preregister for the ticket sale on the event's website.

"The year is 1985 and a world of bitchin’ tunes, mullets and monster hunts awaits. Hop into your car, drive to the Starcourt Mall and find yourself at the heart of the action," organizers said of the event, which will feature video and audio effects to create the world of Hawkins, Indiana... as seen from inside your car.

Several events have been producing drive-through haunt experiences to fill the void left the cancelation of several popular Halloween haunt events, including Halloween Horror Nights, where Stranger Things featured at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida the past two years. Here's a flashback to those mazes, in case you need even more Stranger Things.
