SeaWorld Orlando Plusses Its Halloween Spooktacular

September 14, 2020, 1:30 PM · The pandemic has scrambled Halloween plans across the theme park industry. But while some parks are cutting their Halloween offerings this year, SeaWorld is plussing its annual Halloween event.

The Orlando park announced today that it is adding a maze to this year's Halloween Spooktacular. "Twist and turn your way through our silly Halloween maze that’s tons of fun for younger and older guests alike," the park said in its press release. Capacity will be limited to ensure safe physical distancing, but SeaWorld's upgrade will provide Central Florida fans a family-friendly Halloween maze at a local theme park this year.

In addition, SeaWorld Orlando is adding "Cookie Decorating with Cookie Monster," a $15 up-sell character event with spaced single-party decorating tables and a physically distanced photo opportunity with Cookie Monster. Which is doubly good, because you probably didn't Cookie Monster within six feet of your freshly decorated cookies anyway.

Halloween Spooktacular is included with regular park admission at SeaWorld Orlando and begins September 19, running Saturdays and Sundays through November 1. If you purchase a reusable treat bag, kids can collect candy on the park's Trick-or-Treat Trail. And if you want to spring for a character meal, the park is also offering Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast, though — again — there will be physical distancing with the characters and tables. The breakfast is $33 for adults and $17 for kids.
