Walt Disney World sets opening date for Lakeshore Lodge
The next hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort now has its opening date.
Disney Vacation Club announced today that Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will open July 1, 2027. The DVC property is located on the site of the former River Country water park, on the shore of Walt Disney World's Bay Lake. The 967-room property will be within a short boat ride of the Magic Kingdom theme park, whose fireworks will be visible from the resort.
The resort's theme will be nature, as viewed through the lens and pens of Disney storytellers. Among the resort's accommodations will be freestanding one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses with artwork themed to "Brother Bear," resort studios themed ti "Pocahontas," duo studios themed to "Encanto," deluxe studios and one- and two-bedroom villas themed to "Bambi," as well as three-bedroom grand villas themed to "Fantasia."
As previously announced, the resort's signature table-service restaurant will be Moonglade, with views of Bay Lake. Quick service dining will be available at Bay Lake Provisions, along with the resort's pool bar, Paint Out Point Bar & Grill.
Disney Vacation Club members may make rental reservations starting October 6 by calling member services at +1-800-800-9800. Points-based reservations will be available at a later date. Annual passholders may book starting October 7, with reservations open to all starting October 8.
