The transformation of former Six Flags parks begins
One of Six Flags' original three theme parks is a Six Flags no more.
Earlier this year, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation sold five of its theme parks to EPR Properties, which has contracted Enchanted Parks to run them. Among them was Six Flags St. Louis, which opened in 1971 as Six Flags Over Mid-America. It was one of just three U.S. theme parks built by the original Six Flags company, following Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Over Georgia.
Today, the St. Louis area park is returning to one half of its original name as it sheds the other half. From now, the park's name is Mid America Adventure.

"We are excited about the changes and new opportunities that are ahead for us," Park President Danny Snider said. "Earlier this year we became part of the Enchanted Parks family of theme parks. Now, with the rollout of our new name, we look forward to continuing our history and tradition of providing families with safe, clean fun visits to this park so that they can make lasting memories together."
"The rebrand to Mid America Adventure is the next step in our ongoing investment in this park and community," Enchanted Parks CEO James Harhi said. "We are committed to providing our guests with quality experiences and will continue to build on our legacy as the Midwest’s gateway to thrills."
Other former Six Flags parks now in the Enchanted Parks chains are Michigan's Adventure, Great Escape, Valleyfair, and Worlds of Fun.

The theme park industry is just on a horrible streak with naming things. "Mid America Adventure" ... really?
"Let's go to Mid America Adventure"
"Hey kids, we're going to 'Mid America Adventure tomorrow!"

Six Flags Over Mid America was fine because it implied it was a Six Flags park in St. Louis. Everyone would just say "let's go to Six Flags" and it sounded fine. This is just like...if you tell someone they renamed it to "Mid America Adventure" I feel like their reaction would be "wait, is that it's real name?"
"Mid America Adventure" and "Enchanted Parks" are both just the most mediocre way you could describe an amusement park and amusement park company.

If this is Mid America adventure, snd there’s a Michigan adventure, is that the brand? Will they all have the word adventure?
