Rohde, Weis, Iwerks set for IAAPA Legends panel
Former Walt Disney Imagineers Joe Rohde and Bob Weis will join documentarian Leslie Iwerks for Bob Rogers' annual Legends panel at the IAAPA Expo this November.
This is the 24th year for Rogers' meeting of the minds of the themed entertainment design industry. The 90-minute panel gathers some of the most accomplished designers and leaders in the theme park industry to share stories and lessons from their careers. This year's Legends panel will happen at 4pm on November 18 at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida.
All three of this year's panelists have new projects out, including Iwerks' Disney Worldbuilders and Disneyland Handcrafted, with a new season of The Imagineering Story in production. Rohde just published his first book, "Floating Mountains," which we will be featuring on the Theme Park Insider Podcast this week, when Joe joins us as our guest.
Weis also recently published his memoir, "Dream Chasing," as well as his first novel, "Ghost Dog." Rogers himself also has his first book out, "Deep Story," which we featured on the podcast a couple weeks ago.
Rogers will have a second presentation earlier in the week at IAPA, where he talks about his new book in conversation with Weis. That will happen on Monday, November 16 at 10am. For more on the Expo, visit IAAPA.org.
