Thorpe Park help!!! for 1st time travelling to park

Thorpe Park: Does M25 constantly have bumper to bumper traffic? When's the best time/day to get to M25 to try and avoid massive queues? Please help :) It may persuade me mam's boyfriend to take us!

Okay

Me and my 2 sisters desperately want to go to Thorpe Park - it looks great .. we've been to Alton Towers and wow ... that's all i can say ... what a brilliant themepark - i hope next year - they invest in another coaster :D ... a bit better than Rita though!

anyway - back to the point - I just wanted a little advice on best times to be on the M25 for to avoid horrendous queues b/c that's what's stopping alan from taking us :( ... he says it's always bumper to bumper traffic for miles along the M25... he said it takes you an hour to travel just 1 mile but i find it hard to believe it's always like that ... any help appreciated :)

Is it also actually worth travelling from middlesborough down to Thorpe park? (we'd be staying in a nearby campsite (laleham))b/c it would be around a 5 - 6 hour drive....and..... Is stealth all it is craked up to be? That's mostly the reason why we want to go down there .... it's the next best thing to Dragster :(

thanks! Hope i get some replies :)

M25 between 7.30 and 9.30am can be pretty nasty. Also afternoons between 3.30 & 7pm...

Anywhere around Heathrow will be nasty, but as the new terminals completed its no where near as bad as it was a year ago.

Worst case scenario there will be an accident and you will have a short delay, but bear in mind it is a 3, in parts 4 lane motorway, with a speed limit of 70Mph and small variables as low as 45mph around Heathrow, you should still be fine.

No way its going to be bumper to bumper traffic..

Someone just wants to get out of driving!!Have fun..
