Cedar point in May

Cedar Point: I will be attending Cedar Point this week from out of state this week. Can anyone give me some tips and what type of crowds I might expect later in the week and the weekend

Later this week shouldn't be bad crowd-wise. However, this weekend will be Memorial Day weekend, so the crowds will likely be a bit larger than the early weekends usually produce. As is often the case with Cedar Point, the nicer the weather the bigger the crowds.

That said, as long as you get an early start you should be fine depending on what you want to get done. Also, if you are spending more than one day at the park you should have plenty of time.

As a general rule Maverick, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster will have long-ish waits (generally not more than 45-60 minutes but that can fluctuate depending on crowd size) for most of the day. The rest of the major rides should have reasonable waits (less than 20-30 minutes at the most). If a line seems long for a specific ride, keep walking and check back later. We've noticed that crowds at Cedar Point tend to move around the park in waves which leads to longer waits in some parts of the park while other parts might be much quieter.

I hope this helps. Have a good trip!
