Theme Park Apprentice 3: Challenge 5

We are headed to Australia to visit Movie World.

From the United Kingdom, we fly over to Down Under. We are headed to Australia to visit Movie World. Movie World is a theme park run by Warner Brothers. It also has two sister parks, one in Spain, and the other in Germany. But for this challenge we will be visiting the DC comic section of the park. Currently there are only 3 attractions based off of DC comic characters. Of course one would be a Superman coaster, and the 2 others are themed to Batman. So this week it is your job to take a different DC comics character and create an attraction for them. There are plenty of other notable ones including Wonder Woman, Robin, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl to name a few. Any characters within the library of Superman and Batman are NOT off limits, just Superman and Batman are.

Submissions must be posted by Saturday 7/9. We do have to say goodbye to Colin Sullivan, our nonposter, but there will be someone else fired this week. Please do not post until the contestant is fired this week.

Flash: Revenge of Professor Zoom
Photobucket

The world's fastest superhero. We know him as the Flash. Now, if you thought roller coasters like Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi were fast, just wait until you experience the first ever Flash roller coaster! As well as being the fastest coaster on Earth, it is also the first to have three different tracks to experience.

Barry Allen, the second incarnation of the Flash, got his powers when a chemical in his laboratory was struck by lightning, causing the beaker it was in to shatter. This chemical splashed onto Barry, giving him the powers of super speed.

Photobucket

You enter the ride through the same laboratory where this had occurred. There are dozens of chemicals inside of test tubes and beakers lined up along tables. There's a certain section of the lab that has an odd green chemical splattered on the floor. There is a sign that tells you to avoid it, so you are directed to the basement.

Down a little ways in the basement, you are stopped by an Animatronic Barry Allen, who is not in his Flash costume.

"Oh, hello guests. Welcome to the laboratory, I'm sure you know who I am."

This is where the queue becomes interactive. Guests speak to the Animatronic, and his next statement varies with what the guests say.

If the guests say "You're Barry Allen" or anything along the lines of that, he replies, "That's correct, I'm Barry Allen. Well, you look like a trustworthy group of visitors, so I'll tell you something else. I'm secretly the Flash. While you're here, I could use your help."

If the guests say "You're the Flash" or anything along the lines of that, he replies, "....How did you know that? Does everyone know I'm the Flash? Those matters aside, since you know who I am, I need some help with something."

Also, if nobody answers in 7 seconds, Barry says, "....So you don't know who I am...kinda sad really. I'm Barry Allen, forensic scientist and.....superhero. The Flash."

No matter which of the three responses you get, the next statement is this same for all guests.

"Look, now that you know that I'm the Flash, I could use some help. My rival, Professor Zoom, is a criminal from the future who wants to destroy the world with an atomic bomb that he brought back. You have to help me diffuse it before time runs out!

Photobucket

"Now, head down a little farther into the lab, where we can begin. By the way, don't forget to grab some safety visors, it's gonna be a speedy ride!"

You continue a little ways down the hall and approach the boarding area, where you grab your safety visors. The visors are red with lightning bolts on the sides. All riders are required to wear goggles because of the high speeds that the car is traveling at.

Photobucket

The ride vehicles are traditional seated roller coaster vehicles. Much like both the goggles and the Flash's logo, the car is a bright red. On the hood of each vehicle is the logo of the Flash, a lightning bolt inside of a white circle.

Photobucket

Each car has 4 rows of 2 seats, for a total of 8 riders per car. There are small video cameras on the ride as well, one behind each seat, one facing the front row riders, and one that faces forward, like many ride POVs. You can buy these videos after the ride.

Once everyone has boarded, secured their chest harness and lap bar, and put on their visors, the ride is ready to go.

You build up anticipation as you sit in the station, waiting to be launched. You're sweating from fear and excitement. You can't wait to be launched.

Suddenly, the Flash's voice comes on through speakers in your seat (up by your head, of course).

"All right, everyone ready? Good. Let's Flash."

The message ends and you are blasted off at a whopping 175 miles per hour (about 281.64 kilometers per hour) out of the station. To get a feel of how fast that is, watch this video of Formula Rossa, the previous fastest roller coaster:

The ride is traveling 25 miles per hour faster than that!

After rocketing down the straightaway, you come to a section that splits off into three tracks. This is very special because a computer system randomizes every ride, similar to how the computer system randomizes the drops on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Left Track
If you take the left track, you rocket upwards after the launch straight into a cobra roll.

Photobucket

Going down the cobra roll, you speed up and are launched into a vertical loop.

Photobucket

Then the vehicle shoots into a banked turn through the middle of the inclined loop from Middle Track and beside the banked turn of Right Track. After exiting the loop, the vehicle goes through a barrel roll before entering the brake run.

Photobucket

Middle Track
If you take the middle track, you shoot up a large hill. On the way down, you pick up speed and enter the inclined loop.

Photobucket

The vehicles go through 2 corkscrews in a row and shoot into a heartline roll.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

After these elements, the vehicle enters the brake run.

Right Track
If you take the right track, you enter a zero gravity roll and head downwards into the banked turn that takes you through the inclined loop.

Photobucket

After the banked turn, you ride through a diving loop and enter a barrel roll before heading to the brake run.

Photobucket

No matter which track you take, you see the same thing at the brake run. The Flash has Professor Zoom tied up and he speaks to you through the speakers in the seats.

"Looks like Zoom is all tied up. Thanks for helping me out. See you in a flash!"

You then enter the station, where you exit into the gift shop where you can buy Flash merchandise, as well as the video of the ride. Each track lasts about 1 minute 20 seconds.

Catwoman: Gotham City Sirens Rescue

The Gotham City Sirens is a group of female characters in the Batman world that have been villains at one point or another but have now taken on the attitude of protecting each other instead of a good or evil persona. The Gotham City Sirens have teamed up with Batman as well as some of the villains when they have had need to do so. The predominant Sirens are Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn.

Photobucket

The outside appearance of the ride is themed to a mansion that has a very strong cat theme to it; Cat shaped gargoyles, cat shaped figurines in the gardens, a very cat-ish feel to it. On the inside of the mansion and the beginning of the queue, the cat motif is more pronounced, but along with it is the feeling that others have been living here and helping with the decorating, adding contrasting themes of large plants and the circus/Marti Gras.

Photobucket

As the queue progresses, we start to see signs of a struggle, specifically in the areas that have the large plants and circus/Marti Gras themes. Chairs are knocked over, plants are shredded, circus posters are ripped, among many other signs that a brawl took place here. Rounding the final corner of the queue, there is a huge gaping hole in the wall, with a question mark covered box sitting on the floor right in front of it. Every couple of minutes the box pops open with a question mark at the end of a spring, and a large note that reads:

If the ultimate strength is friends
And your friends have all met their ends
A wounded clown, a plant without a pot
Who will save you when you are caught?
Now the pendulum swings toward me
The Poe little kitty is the only one free!

On second glance, you see a black costumed woman already through the hole in the wall, getting ready to swing away into the night, tensed with vengeance.

Photobucket

The roller coaster is themed to the Catwoman, black with a cat motif designed to replicate the feel of being Catwoman leaping from rooftop to rooftop in her own special way.

Photobucket

The roller coaster is an S&S 4th dimension coaster like X2 at Magic Mountain. The configuration is standard to what X2 has with 4 riders per row sitting two on either side of the track and 7 rows deep. This ride will feature an unload platform as well as 2 loading platforms to speed the dispatch of vehicles (Top Thrill Dragster has a similar configuration). Like X2, the seats on the coaster can be control to turn independently of the track using a second pair of rails to control the seats. Unlike X2, the riders face forward instead of backwards leaving the station.

As the coaster leaves the loading station, it rounds a corner where one last set piece sets up the final leg of the story.

Riddler: "We all know that the male mind, and mine in particular, is superior to the female mind, therefore you have no chance of finding me. Don’t even bother to try."

Photobucket

With the angry hiss of a cat, the coaster is launched to 85mph and straight up a 200ft tower while the seats perform a slow front flip. At the slow crest at the top of the tower, the seats are leaning slightly forward as if standing in a crouched position with the rider's feet directly below them.

Photobucket

As the coaster heads straight down the other side of the tower, the seats perform one and three quarters of a backflip before ending in the flying position with the rider's stomach to the ground.

Photobucket

The coaster performs an inside raven turn and then a half loop (top to bottom) fly to lie with the riders now facing backwards. The coaster does an airtime filled double down into a cavern where we see a fleeting glance of Poison Ivy withering in a pit from lack of sunlight. The coaster bursts out of the cavern, performs an outside raven turn before bursting back in the cavern and then smashing through the top of the cavern with a half loop and lie to fly maneuver and the riders now facing forward in the flying postion.

Photobucket

The coaster does a low flyover of the ground where we see vines that are growing extremely fast, an indication that Poison Ivy is free now. Popping over another airtime filled hill, the coaster rushes into a large warehouse building where we can see that Harley Quinn has been chained down with a large pendulum with a sharp looking blade swinging over her (in the Riddler’s tribute to Edgar Allen Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum).

Photobucket

The coaster performs a helix turn in the flying position exiting the warehouse. By the time the coaster gets back into the warehouse, masses of fast moving vines have already freed Harley Quinn and destroyed the Riddler’s death trap (the effect is done with a fast moving rotating platform while the coaster is on the outside portion of the helix).

Photobucket

The coaster leaves the warehouse for a victory lap doing a series of bouncing airtime hills with the riders doing several flips before the coaster hits the brake run and reenters the cat decorated house via an upper window.

A Hyper-Looper-Indoor (sort of) Coaster

Kryptonite- a crystalline gem-like element, the remains of the planet Krypton. The effects of this radioactive material on Kryptonians and humans alike has been the inspiration of many of DC Comics' most exciting storylines. Now, at Movie World, you can experience the incredible physical and psychological powers it commands.

Photobucket

Welcome to Kryptonite.

The entrance building for Kryptonite is inspired by the Fortress of Solitude. Huge sparkling crystals set at angles form a breathtakingly beautiful structure.

Photobucket

Behind this building can be seen huge twisting tubes of green, supported by more of these towering crystals. Electrical discharges like lightning play across the surface of the tubes. During the day, this huge edifice resembles a gigantic abstract sculpture, and at night the colors of the tubes will change, swirl and dance across its surface.

Photobucket

Except for their being large tubes and not traditional tracks, they resemble the course of a roller coaster with multiple inversions. Upon entering the structure, riders will see that the crystal design of the exterior is continued inside.

Riders enter the pre-loading chamber composed of soaring crystals and two giant statues holding a huge sphere. The sphere acts as a screen where an ominous face appears and gives waiting riders the safety lecture in an appropriately stern and ominous manner.

Photobucket

Riders then enter the loading chamber and board the ride vehicles, long, white and crystalline-shaped coaster trains that seat sixteen riders per car, with eight rows of two riders. Over-the-shoulder restraints are required for the multiple inversions they will encounter. The loaded vehicle then moves into another chamber, pitch-black but filled with stars. A deep, dramatic voice speaks:

"The planet Krypton was destroyed by a massive explosion.

Photobucket

The devastating forces released by its destruction tore holes in the space-time continuum, creating what you call wormholes that carried one surviving Kryptonian and some of the debris from the planet Krypton to your world. The survivor, Kal-El, became the greatest superhero of his adopted planet, Earth. Now, you will relive what he and the shattered remains of his home world experienced when they entered the wormhole and were carried to Earth. Now, for the next few minutes, YOU ARE KRYPTONITE!!"

The vehicle glows a brilliant green and is suddenly hydraulically launched down a black, star-filled tube to a speed of 110 mph in less than 4 seconds. The stars are computer-controlled LED lights built into the walls of the tube that will completely enclose the coaster track throughout the entire ride (more on that later). As the vehicle accelerates, the stars actually recede faster then the vehicle, to make it look as though the riders are speeding faster than they really are.

Photobucket

Now for the most unique feature of Kryptonite. The entire course of the coaster track is enclosed in a round tube, large enough for the vehicle and riders to safely race through it, temperature-controlled and lined with LED lights to make this not just a thrilling coaster ride but a breathtaking light show experience. The tube will make it impossible for riders to see very far ahead of them and anticipate what sensory experience they will encounter next, leaving them both disoriented and exhilarated. Riders will never see the outside world on this coaster ride, but will be totally immersed in the dazzling speed and interstellar sights of Kryptonite.

Photobucket

The vehicle speed reaches 110 mph and suddenly zooms upward into a 180ft vertical loop, a world record, while the tube turns a brilliant green. At the bottom of the loop the coaster soars upward into a dive loop. The green of the walls is swirled with bright yellows and streaks of lightning-like discharges of electricity, and the coaster races ahead into a double corkscrew. The walls turn a vivid orange-red as the vehicle enters a barrel-roll section, after which it will complete a series of bunny hills designed for maximum air time, and the walls change back to green. As the coaster brakes and the vehicle slows down, the walls return to the black of space and the stars return. The ride vehicle still glows green, and will remain so until the riders disembark. The same voice heard at the beginning of the ride speaks:

"You have survived the wormhole and have arrived at the third planet from a yellow star. Welcome to Earth."

The riders disembark their ride vehicle, which still glows Kryptonite green and will remain so until they have left and it is advanced to the loading platform for the next group of passengers. The hallway leading from the building is bathed in a now-familiar glow, the glow of a rare radioactive element that was born from a dying planet, a glow that can only come from one thing-

Kryptonite.

ARKHAM:THE JOKER’S MADHOUSE
Photobucket
Arkham: The Joker’s Madhouse is a next generation, high tech and fully immersive “haunt style” walk through attraction in the style of the haunt mazes seen at theme parks every Halloween. This attraction will use theatrical effects to fully immerse visitors in the experience. Each element from live actors to sound and music will be designed to offer maximum frights and put you fully in the world of Arkham Asylum in a state of total anarchy.
Visitors to Warner Brothers Movie World will find past the Wayne Manor façade of the Batman Adventure 2 Ride a path that leads to the outskirts of Gotham City. At the end of this path will be Arkham Asylum the home to Gotham’s criminally insane. The building is a large brick Victorian style building surrounded by overgrown bushes and dying trees behind a wrought iron and stone fence, guard towers dotting the area. Screams of the insane will be heard coming from the interior of the building, and even though it may be daylight outside, a aura of foreboding permeates the area warning you stay away.
Upon entering the building , guests will be led 30 at a time into a briefing room explaining that you are the newest group of Asylum orderlies and today is orientation day. You will see behind glass walls animatronic guards working the security cameras. Via video monitors above our heads we are welcomed to our first day of work by Arkham’s head Dr Alyce Sinner who wants to thank us for our dedication to the treatment of the insane. We are warned of the dangers posed by some of the inmates as we are taken via video to feeds of random cells and the prisoners held in them. We then get to video footage of the Joker’s cell….but the Joker is nowhere to be found. At this, the video screens turn to static and then back to a live feed, this time with the Joker now in charge. He chides Dr Sinners for not introducing him, Arkham’s most notorious resident and feels he needs to welcome all the newbies himself….oh, and he has a surprise for all of us too, his newest batch of Joker Gas! At this, the glassed off wall areas become filled with green smoke (Joker Gas) and the animatronics in the room get replaced with shadows gasping for air and falling to a heap on the ground.

From Joseph Catlett

The Joker laughs maniacally and invites us all to continue on with our tour of the asylum and meet some of its most wonderfully evil residents.
A door in front of us then opens and we walk down a long hallway of barred cells with prisoners reaching out to grab us as we pass.
From this point out, a loud and disorienting soundtrack composed by Rob Zombie will be played throughout the rest of the maze. The soundtrack will have an overlaying theme but will have slight variations based on the rooms we enter.
As we leave the cell block corridor, we then enter a room full of the Joker’s victims, dozens of guards clumped in heaps all wearing the calling card of the Joker on their faces, the twisted perpetual wide smile of the Joker, a grinning rictus. Among the bodies a live actress playing Harley Quinn is jumping around the room, laughing her head off and wielding a very large hammer.
Photobucket
Random guard bodies will jump up scare you.

From Joseph Catlett

Into the next room a cold breeze brushes by us, we’re in the cell of Mr Freeze.
Photobucket
The live actor freeze is holding his freeze gun, it lights up and freezes two guards like popsicles, he then turns it on you, fires it and an ice cold wind is blown at you from hidden grates below your feet and behind you. As you exit the room, ice creatures jump out at you.

From Joseph Catlett
Posted July 9, 2011 at 5:14 PM
As we leave the room we see wilting plants on the walls turn into a full room of exotic plants, a virtual rainforest with the smells of earth and flowers in our noses. We are in the lair of POISON IVY.
Photobucket
Ivy is too busy to notice us and is stroking a large Venus flytrap, the scares come from plant people jumping out at us and the bodies of guards entrapped by the tentacles of large plants.

From Joseph Catlett
Posted July 9, 2011 at 5:16 PM
From the rainforest of Ivy’s cell we then go down a set of stairs into the sewers beneath the asylum and the lair of Killer Croc.
Photobucket
The area is still, too still for comfort until an 8 foot tall animatronic Killer Croc leaps from the water of the sewer and ends up right next to us snarling and then retreats back to the water waiting for his next victim. The bodies of other “victims” reach out from under the railing of the sewer river and grab at us.

From Joseph Catlett
Posted July 9, 2011 at 5:16 PM
We then head into the boiler room of the asylum and see CLAYFACE brewing some green bubbling concoction and lowering one of victims, screaming and calling for mercy into the green glob vat.

Out of other vats, hands reach out to us, the rancid smell of chemicals burning our noses.

Into the next room, THE RIDDLER sits atop a stack of joke and riddle books and tells us there is a way out but as you’re no good at riddles he’ll just point you in the right direction with his question mark walking stick towards…..
Photobucket
A pitch black room with the sounds of snakes hissing and feelers will come out of the floor to make you feel that snakes are at you feet. Then screams of women and children echo through the room and hazy smoke floats past our eyes. It’s the lair of the Scarecrow and all our fears are made real.

Zombies and large howling dogs leap out at us and the fear rules all.
We then thankfully leave and head into the final room and see the JOKER sitting atop a large electric chair which is smoking and sizzling, electric sparks shooting off of it. The Joker is not being electrocuted, BUT he is laughing himself to death practically. As we pass through the room Joker’s goons jump out at us, making the Joker laugh louder than ever .

Joker thanks us for the laughs, he had a really KILLER time and hopes we all come back real, real soon. He’s DYING to do this again.
We then leave the confines of the asylum and emerge into the gift shop selling Batman and Villains merchandise. The gift shop is designed like the inside of the Mad Hatter’s cell with Alice in Wonderland images throughout.

Justice League International Civilian Corps.

3D Shooter Dark Ride

The Justice League International are hereby announcing the recruitment of Civilians to join the new Justice League International Civilian Corps for the protection and security of the South Pacific region.

Are you super enough to join the ranks?

Building/Queue:

You enter the queue into the Justice League International Headquarters’ and pass by the “screening’ area which you will pass obviously. You then enter in the “Hall of Heroes” which has banners, posters and and videos of past and present superheroes at work including Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Women, Flash and Martian Man Hunter. Also here there will be other poster featuring heroes of the Civilian Corp. This is done by cameras taking pictures of guests in line and then image appearing on screens in the poster.

Then guests into the “Hall of Villains” and here are wanted posters of the villains still loose in the world. Here you can see The Joker, Cat Women, Lex Luther, Sinestro, Ares, Captain Cold, and Ocean Master. There will also be captured posters including the Penguin, General Zod and his minions, and Para Lax. Each of the posters introduces you to the character on why they are wanted and what there abilities are.

Pre-show:

You then move into the pre-show. Here Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman’s character in Batman) introduces you to the Civilian Corp and the “suits” that you will be wearing, and how to operate the shooters. Then it goes into how Patriotic it is to join the league and how special it is to help save the world and the South Pacific.

Ride:

Vehicles:

The ride utilizes Kuka robocoaster technology, which allows the seats to pivot while being held above the track by a robotic arm. However, the ride is not a roller coaster but a scenic dark ride. The ride will use the same ride technology as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at IOA in Florida but with the added affect of 3D technology and shooters to keep the ride interactive and engaging to guests.

Scenes:

There will be 7 different scenes that the can go through. The beginning and the end will always be the same but the middles can be different because instead of using all 7 scenes it will only use 5 scenes at a time. This way it will always be different.

For an even added addition every once in awhile a character will pop into a another characters scene having 2 characters in the same scene. For example the scene that is predominately Batman in Gotham City Aquaman or any of the others may be called in to help him out. So one time you can do a scene and have no extra characters and then when you do it again another character appears!

Scene 1 Beginning: Proving Grounds/Metropolis

As a new recruit Lucius Fox wants to test his new suits and how they work on you. He explains that the suits are customizable for each Superhero depending on what they need you to do but each one comes with a shooter.

Then Superman enters the scene and explains that he needs you to help him defeat Lex Luther who is trying to take Metropolis. He has built a robot army and his marching against the city.

So he straps on busters so that the you can fly! The vehicles obviously tilt like your flying and with the screen it helps you get this feeling. Superman ask you to shoot down the robots from above while he takes care of Lex Luther.

As you go from screen to screen you base sets which are basically tops of buildings and also animatronic robots which you need to shoot! So not only are you dodging buildings and planes but also robots who are flinging cars, shooting things and other things.

Finally Superman and you defeat Lex Luther and you are called to help another Hero.

Here are the interchangeable parts:

Middle Scene 1: Green Lantern “Space”

Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern needs you help now in space. So he “straps” you into a space suit and sends you up into space to help him capture Sinestro.Sinestro want to take over the earth using fear as his power but the Green Lantern has other plans for him.

The Green Lantern needs you to distract Sinestro so he set him up in a trap. So you need to battle Sinestro, navigate through an asteroid belt and dodge asteroids to distract and weaken Sinestro.

So you will be shooting at Sinestro and also at asteroids that are coming at you.

As you move from screen to screen here you will see giant asteroids coming straight for you and then a big Sinestro animatronic that is reaching out to get you before the Green Lantern can trap him!

Middle Scene 2: Flash “Frozen Tundra”

The Flash has located Captain Cold and needs your help to topple the frozen menace who wields a freeze ray that will literally flash freeze you in mid-stride!

In the City Captain Cold has set up shop and the Flash needs you to try to get in close so that he can come in fast and get him before he can get his freeze ray gun on him.

So the Flash has setup boosters to your suit so that you “run” faster so that you can dodge the beam. Here as you go along shot at Captain Cold and also anything that he has frozen at ie: cars, vehicles, bench’s, lamppost etc…

AS you move from screen to screen you see flash’s of frozen cars, frozen sides of buildings and then you see a large blue-ish light beam. But you cross the beam and you start to slow down and the Flash after catching Captain Cold comes and using his speed thaws you out!

Middle Scene 3: Wonder Women “Amazonia”

Wonder Women needs your help now and puts you into her Invisible Airplane. So take the control and help Wonder Women defeat Ares who is trying to take over Themyscira an Island nation of the Amazonians in the Mediterranean.

Here shot at Ares and his minions to rake up points and help defeat Ares.

Middle Scene 4: Aquaman “Ocean”

Ocean Master wants to hold the South Pacific in ransom by threatening natural disasters from the water to the nations in the regions. So Aquaman transforms you suit into a submarine so we can get at Ocean Master in the sea.

To protect himself Ocean Master has control over sharks who he sends to attack you and Aquaman. Aquaman has set your shooters on stun, so not to kill the sharks, and to weaken and capture Ocean Master.

As you move from screen to screen it looks like you are obvious under water and a giant animatronic tries to eat you! But shot it to rake up points!

Middle Scene 5: Martian Man hunter “Fire”

The Martian Manhunter needs your help against the Human Flame because the Martian Manhunter’s weakness is fire! He sets your suit up with special heat resistant material and also with “water” blasters to defeat the Human Flame.

You must dodge flames from his flamethrower while also dodging fiery debris! Shot the debris and shot the Human Flame to get points and defeat the villain!

As you move from screen to screen not only will you see flames and fiery debris but will also see the animatronic Human Flame literally shot a giant fireball at you! Will you survive? I believe you will!

End Scene: Batman “Gotham City”

Batman needs you help in defeating the Joker and Cat Women. The Joker and Cat Women have teamed up and is planning on blowing up a bomb in the city. Batman has intercepted the plans and needs you to help him out and foil the plans.

He needs you inside the Bat Mobile to take out the Clown Henchmen that the Joker has placing explosives all around the city while he takes out The Joker and Cat Women. Here you will be driving around in the streets taking out the Clown Henchmen in other vehicles trying to place the bombs.

As you move from screen to screen it will look like the underworld of Gotham City and a animatonic of both Joker and Cat Women about to explode the bombs then you see Batman in the background ready to swoop in to save the day!

He then returns you to the Justice League International Civilian Corps Headquarters’ and you exit the vehicles and see your face on one of the posters naming you a hero!

So the ride will use prop scenery and animatronics to tell the story while the also using 3D technology on the screens to tell the story.

Coming soon to Movie World:

Wonder Woman: Escape on the Invisible Jet

BACKGROUND: Australia has come under attack and the Justice League is trying to evacuate the country. Wonder Woman has chosen to take everyone out of her quadrant using her invisible jet.

QUEUE: The queue runs through the remains of a bombed-out airport, much like the map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. There is a bookstore with books strewn about, a broken down escalator, and a bunch of shattered flatscreens. Their have been TVs set up by the helpers of the Justice League. A warning from Wonder Woman plays: "Attention everyone. Due to the dire situation here, I have been called in to help you escape. Please stay calm, my plane is the fastest flying vehicle this side of Saturn so we WILL get everyone out. It can fit 48 people at a time, so there's no reason for pushing and shoving. Since I can fly by myself, I won't actually be flying with you. I'll be ahead of you to make sure that there's no trouble. Okay everyone. I'll see you in the hangar. " The line goes out an "Employee's Only" exit and into a seemingly empty hangar. The track for the roller coaster runs down the middle of the room, in one side and out the other.

RIDE: The ride starts off very similar to The Hulk. The ride turns a corner and the riders can hear Wonder Woman's voice: "Uh oh. We've got trouble. Hold on tight." The coaster launches upward before taking a diving turn to the right. While you can't actually see any of the attacking planes, you can hear them whizzing by and you can hear those planes firing shots at you. Right before you reach the top of the launch, you can hear shots firing. This sparks the turn. Each time right before any sort of turn, loop, or drop, there will be shots firing and a warning from Wonder Woman of what is about to happen. During the turn, loop, or drop, the sound of a whizzing jet is heard.
After the first right drop, the ride goes up through a loop. Then the ride goes back up and through a corkscrew in the air and drops straight down. The cart goes back up and then does a series of banked turns in the air before dropping quick and coming back up quicker. Wonder Woman yells out: "We've been hit!!!" There is an epic helix shape and the cart heads straight for the ground. The ride ends in a controlled end and Wonder Woman has landed the plane safely! "You don't have to thank me now, but I have a great memory in case you ever need help again. Follow the arrows to the nearest refugee camp and wait there for further instructions."

I feel there was definately some original attraction concepts this week. While I would have loved to see more of different DC characters, I think you guys submitted excelent ideas.

Review:

Dominick- It is definately a good idea to have a choose your own ride adventure in a theme park. The storyline was a bit hard to understand and how the technical part of this would work. Perhaps my main concern was the division of groups into their own vehicles. I fear capacity issues with this and the splitting up of families.

Andy- The backstory to this ride was exceptional. I liked the different "routes" in the coaster. It definately sounded intense. I wish you could have added a bit more to the story on the coaster.

Jeff- I think you definately had one of the most unique proposal ideas. You definately had a great story to go along with the coaster description. It sounds fun and creepy! One of my favorites.

James- I really think you chose an itneresting concept by transforming the rider into kryptonite. I think it is definately somthing different that many would not think of. One of my favorites.

Joseph- I have to say that you are by far back on top. This walkthrough sounds excellent. I can tell that you definately put a lot of time and detail into this week's challenge. I was just obssessed with your proposal this week. My favorite this week.

Dan- Definately sounds like a cross between Toy Story Mania and Star Tours. So how could this ride possibly fail? It sounded like a fun ride that explored a bunch of the DC favorites. One of my favorites.

Eric- I guess I wanted a bit more for the only wonder woman attraction. It was still a good propsal, but left me wanting a lot more.

Very interesting ideas here, all. As a comic book enthusiast, I liked some of the other heroes and villains getting a little time (sidebar: For those who haven't been to Six Flags Over Texas, I found the Mr. Freeze ride to be intense and fun).

I have two of my own ideas for what I would focus on, but liked that a few picked up on books like "Gotham City Sirens" or the expanded Justice League.

Dominick, I read what you had said before you had edited it. Again, you should not be attacking someone like Dan. Your ideas were very different. And there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to assume that voters vote pictures over substance. I'm aware that yours was similar in nature, but I think you needed to be a bit clearer on your ride disciption. There is no need to be offended, as I offer constructive criticism. This is not intended to be a plea to have anyone rejoin this competition, but merely stating my personal beliefs.

Dominick, some of these people are older than you and me and have jobs. I'm just 14, and even I have trouble finding time to post, let alone create my ideas! The only time for them to post is on the last day. I think dropping out is unnecessary at this point; however, I occasionally agree with number 2
I also saw what number 3 had said, and no offense, but that was uncalled for

I think most people are losing sight that this is just a game, just like monopoly or candy land. There is no $ 1,000,000 prize, no job opportunities, nothing at all except a title. I'm sorry if I come off a bit harsh in that comparison, but this is for fun and to keep people entertained. The drama has to stop, or I guess I will consider putting the competition to a halt because this is absolutely unacceptable behavior.

I didnt see any ideas that were similar. So I dont know how anyone can steal an idea in this round or any others.

In this competition DC isnt as known as Marvel so the characters used are going to be similar because no matter how good a ride can be the chracrters used have to be known or no one will know what the ride will be about and may not be interested in riding the ride or going to the park.

Also the content and who we know are factors that pick what characters to use. I dont many DC characters, except who are in the Justice League, and I needed to research who there rivals are.
