Military Discounts at WDW
Walt Disney World:
Anyone know of any discounts besides Shades of Green?
Does anyone know of any military discounts at WDW or Universal Orlando? I'm planning a trip in December and one of the members is active duty military. So I was wondering if anyone has experience with this stuff. We plan to stay at Shades of Green so we know of that one, but are there any more good ones out there?
(These were used 2010 on my trip following my deployment to Iraq)
SeaWorld: Military members and dependants get one free day a year. Same goes for Busch Gardens.
Universal: No military deals. Sucks for us.
WDW: Keep in mind Disney changes this every year it seems. For 2010, the deal was myself, plus up to five guests, got a 4-Day park hopper pass for $99. Possibly the best Disney Vacation of my life.
Check at the base exchange.....they should have discounted tickets available.....although look over the deals carefully.....When I went in October of last year, we were able to get a list of prices from them, but when you start adding in Park's website perks.....sometimes it was cheaper to by them online instead..... particularly when it was a 2 day hopper pass for Universal with HHN thrown in for $10......
Your military member should look at their own base exchange and may be able to buy the tickets for everyone.....it doesn't matter that the military base is nowhere close to the parks.....we bought tickets for Disney in Colorado.....
Do me a favor and thank your friend for their service to our country....
They are now offering a four day pass for a little over 100 and you can add park hopper for another 25. Go to the Disney web site for information.
From Disney's official website:
"Walt Disney World Resort is saluting U.S. military personnel by offering 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets for just $138 each, now through September 30, 2012. For just $27 more, both the Park Hopper and Water Parks, Fun & More option may be added.
For information regarding Military Promotional Tickets or to make room reservations, military personnel may call (407) 939-7830 or contact participating U.S. military base ticket offices."
Thanks everyone for the help.
@ Jeff - I will be sure to do that
