Island of Adventure – In the first bad move that IOA has made since opening the Wizarding World with only one Wand show, the Dragon Challenge Dueling coaster is now only the Dragon Challenge near the other one coaster. And if I get my hands on the little bastards that were throwing things off one coaster to the other, you are going to look like this when I get done with you (and don’t worry, I am not threatening anyone, just venting with a really cool picture ;-D ).
PortAventura (Spain) – This park is bracing for impact against the new Paramount Park and is going to make a big move for the record books in a desperate effort to firmly establish their customer base. They have signed with B&M for a new roller coaster that will open in 2012 and set the record for Europe’s tallest (249ft), longest drop (255ft), and fastest (83mph) roller coaster.
California Adventure – Testing has begun for 4 of the new Cars Land rides: Radiator Springs Racers, Luigi’s Flying Tires, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and the new 4d show Ouch: My #$%^ Wallet is Taking a Beating.
Holiday World - The first Halloween prank has been pulled. Someone has stolen and shrunk down Holiday World, populating it with tiny stop motion people. Take a look at the ransom video:
SeaWorld California – In what is surely going to have guests flocking to the park in massive numbers, SeaWorld California raised its adult and child admissions as well as the parking fee. Yep, not going there any time in the distant future.
As if SeaWorld raising prices wasn’t enough, in a sure sign that the world is coming to an end (e.g.: Tebow winning the football game, the Texas Rangers even up the World Series without Chuck Norris, and an Earthquake in Turkey,) Disney has decided to get in on the Halloween spirit and is releasing new cuts of old movies that have been re-edited to be horror movies. Check out the new trailers for them:
Busch Gardens Williamsburg – Verbolten - You know that section of secret track that is going up inside the building, yeah, well, the secret is out. That is what you get when you don’t put the walls up until after the track is in place.
Dollywood – Wild Eagle – The park has posted a new video for their new roller coaster.
Jinling Happy World (China) – Now that Thorpe Park is distracted with The Swarm, this brand new theme park is making a move on a new world record for most inversions, going for 11 inversions. I am sure that Thorpe’s designers are already trying to figure out a way to put 57 inversions on one roller coaster.
Busch Gardens Tampa – Nothing goes together like Cheerleaders and Haunted Houses...
Six Flags – Apparently Six Flags is going down the track of finger print scanners like all of the better park chains. The difference is that it in Six Flags' case it eliminates a step in the booking of Six Flags guests.
Not to get off on a different tangent, but there is a scary good maze game. What is most interesting about it is that it gives very quiet audible clues as to why getting through the maze is important and what is at the end, so you have to turn the sound up quite a bit to get everything out of it.
To close out the article this week in proper Halloween fashion, here is what has got to be the longest haunted house in the world.....in 5 parts! I can’t help laughing at the lady that they follow through this thing. It is best to watch these videos with the volume cranked up to 11!

CONFIRMED: They do film every group that goes through for "Security Purposes" according to their website....I think that is probably one of the reasons.....another is for pacing.....and another would be to sell you a copy of the video....although there is no mention on their website how much that would be or if it is available for purchase.....
