Knott's Berry Farm: With so many sellers I'm surprised you can't more easily find their source? Anyone know the story behind this?

I see a lot of people selling on Ebay 50% off discount codes for Knotts Berry Farm. Can be used at their website for multiple tickets. Yet if I try to Google, I can't find any discussion or info anywhere about this discount They must have gotten the codes for free if they are selling them for $1.99. With so many sellers I'm surprised you can't more easily find their source? Anyone know the story behind this?

The first question would be if the codes were real or not. The next question would be who's doing it. Not too many people are going to have access to codes like that, as 50% is a heavy discount that could potentially put a beating on the bottom line. PR, upper management, IT, web site people, or someone they know...I would start with those groups.

Tracking down an Ebay seller isn't as easy as one might think, unless of course they are peddling stolen goods or breaking the law. Even then it usually takes law enforcement intervention. In this case, Knott's could probably play that card and find out.
