My family first went to Orlando in December 2001, shortly after 9/11. It was a very strange time but getting to Disney and Universal brought us away from reality, it brought a joy and happiness that had been horribly lost just two months before. Right then I decided we would make this a family tradition. December in Orlando. A time for joy and happiness. My video is my proof of that. Enjoy!
Thomas: EXCELLENT. My favorite video so far accompanied by my fav theme park song. Disney & Universal are a great 1-2 punch for a vacation...The best to you and your beautiful family...Nice family tradition.

I friend of mine was at Universal / IOA about a week after 9/11. The live in Florida and drove of course. According to him, the parks seemed like they were abandoned. Every ride was a walk-on and he guessed there may have been 100 people in each park.
I live in the glide path of Midway airport and the approach pattern for O'Hare, it was very strange not to see a single commercial aircraft for days. All we would see is an occasional goverment helicopter and F-16's circling the city and suburbs.
Great video, by the way. This one has my vote as well.
Thanks I needed this….!! 4 weeks until we return to Orlando!
Time goes by so damn fast, celebrate everyday folks..
The only problem I saw was the NY sports shirts – Go BoSox….

Awesome video! My favorite part was when the children were on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority when they were really young and then you cut to a scene on the exact same ride a decade later....Great stuff.
Keep this wonderful tradition going and continue to capture your memories on tape for the next 10 years and beyond!
