Universal's Q-Bot Questions
Universal Orlando: Robots are taking over Universal Studios. No, not the Terminators again, but the Q-Bots. What effects will it have on guests?
I've been seeing all this stuff about the Q-Bots coming to Universal Orlando. Will it take away the privilege for hotel guests? Will it be the same one-Express-per-ride-per-day policy (for people who buy it at the park, of course)? Will it be rolled out to the general public by the first weekend in June (when I'm going)?

Not a huge fan of the Q-Bots.... if you lose one, they charge something like $250 at SFGA. I prefer the hotel room key on a lanyard. They still have to scan them one by one but it only takes a couple seconds each.
I think they are going to offer new types of Express where you can ride everything twice a day, and they may have an unlimited version as well.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I just called Universal about this, and it won't affect on-site hotel guests.

That's good news, I would purposely jump in the pool every day and ruin it if they made me carry one. Besides, SFGA makes one person carry a Q-Bot for a party of four... we often split up and go on separate rides, which is why the room key works so well.
