Wish List Of Rides You HAVEN'T Been On

What's missing in your amusement/theme park life?

From Mike Gallagher
Posted August 20, 2012 at 2:26 AM
We all love theme and amusement parks..otherwise, we wouldn't be on this site, right? But only a lucky few among our group can go anywhere they want and ride everything. So that brings me to my question. What rides have you never experienced that you would very much like to? I came up with a Top Ten, as I love lists. But I know there are more. I limited myself to rides that are already built and operating consistently (hence, the non-inclusion of Outlaw Run, Gatekeeper, and Ring Racer. There is one on my list..the last one..that I'm not sure if it is running regularly..I haven't read/heard much since it opened. There are also several coasters in Asia that I have read about and would love to ride, but their names escape me, and I know virtually nothing about them.

1. X2
2. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
3. Prowler
4. Desperado
5. Leviathan
6. Apocalypse (MM)
7. Wild Eagle
8. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
9. Revenge Of The Mummy
10. Formula Rossa

How about you?

*EDIT*..Got a few more..Top Tens are soooo limiting.

11. Boardwalk Bullet
12. New Mexico Rattler
13. American Thunder
14. Shivering Timbers
15. Tremors
16. Manta (Orlando)
17. Tatsu

'Nuff said. Carry on.

If you don't know I'm yanking your chain, Dom, then you don't know ME!

Rao. I hope you make it to Hydra. There's a really good breakfast place about 10-15 minutes away, so you can eat before riding. I hear tell they have waffles.

No, Dom. The week ends Sunday. In my book, anyway. Why do you think it's called the "weekend?" :)

From Bradley Keith

When writing mine, I accidentely wrote "Porn Adventura." That would be a strong contender. Unfortunately I was boring and noticed my mistake and corrected it. Suppose that's not exactly the thing you just leave. "T" and "N" are far apart on the keyboard, so I guess it happened in the process of hitting the spacebar.

Joey, do you live near Lake Compounce? I rode boulder dash my second time when I went with my camp. It isn't very good, I hit my funny bone and flipped off a camera in doing so. It is insanely ruff and hurts. Zoomerang however is worse.

From Mike Gallagher
Posted August 20, 2012 at 5:21 PM
Joey's in Wisconsin, so I'd say no.

Boulder Dash is a favorite of mine, in the top 10 of over 300 coasters. It also reaches a different level at night, and is downright scary. I'll admit to bruising a rib last time. If you're not prepared, you can get hurt. Their Boomerang is better than average, and has one of the prettiest color schemes of track and train I've ever seen. If you're gonna talk about bad coasters at Compounce, that conversation begins and ends with Wildcat. Ow.

From Andrew Dougherty
Posted August 20, 2012 at 5:58 PM
Zoomerang really gave me a headache and a backache, Wildcat was my first real coaster but it's still rough and I liked it. Boulder dash is fun frightening at night but HURTS SO BAD while riding it.

I just arrived from L.A., so the only great dark ride left to experience is Journey to the Center of the Earth. Since I don't have the money to travel to Tokyo, I just hope Disney makes a similar ride at the new Avatar Land. That ride looks like Pandora, so...

From Joey Till
Posted August 21, 2012 at 4:42 PM
Andrew, that means every coaster there is rough??? :0 Boulder Dash is probrally one of the rides that is insanely fast, crazy, and out of control. Some people don't like rides like this, while others love them. I for one like crazy fast rides! So I wanna ride.

Don't anyone bad mouth Waffle House.....

Even though the rides on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas are not considered "theme park" rides, they are some of the most intense on the planet due to being 900 feet above the street to begin with.

Yes, the one (Insanity) is nothing but a spinner, but being perched at a 70 degree angle 64 feet out over the edge of the roof brings a whole new level to a simple ride.

Same goes for he Big Shot. It's basically Fearfall, but taller. The feeling you get at the apex is simply astounding. You can't breathe because you are so high with nothing around you.

The last ride (X-Scream) is a simple car and track that extends out over the building and only moves about 40 feet, but it is also on a steep angle, so you get the sense you are going right over the edge and plummeting to the ground.

Next time I go, I will do the Sky Jump off the edge with nothing but a wire attached. I wanted to do it last time, but it was booked solid.

I think these rides are something everyone should experience at least once if they can. They never get mentioned and deserve a place an extreme thrill ride category of thier own.

Joey I see what you mean but really you can't spend a whole day in the park and I didn't think boulder dash was comfortable. That's it. My opinion. Tell me when you plan visiting. I can check events like their haunted thing is weekends in October.

I completely understand Andrew. Yes I also I agree it is probrally not enough to spend a full day. Its weird because they have a lot of flat rides you see at big name parks. There kind of a small park with not so small rides. From what It looks like.
