Dollywood crowds in mid-April?
Dollywood: I'm planning on heading to Dollywood with the high school concert band I'm part of, and I'm wondering what the crowd levels at the park will be.
The high school concert band that I'm in will visit the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area in mid-April. Highlights of the trip will include Wilderness at the Smokies waterpark hotel, downtown Gatlinburg, (possibly) Dixie Stampede, and Dollywood. I'm wondering what the crowd levels are usually like on a Saturday during this particular point of the season.
UPDATE: The trip will be during the final weekend of the Festival of Nations, on April 20th, 2013.
i would check and see if that weekend is Dolly weekend. that Saturday is busy and also passhoders usually bring a guest free at that time. but even with both of those iam wishing that i was there at that time. Fest of nations is a fav of mine, just do not expect to see regular shows as most are from other countries, just a few of regular shows.
