Hello, my name is Todd and I have some questions to ask if I may? My husband is in the process of putting together a professional résumé (from a professional résumé writer) and will be applying for a job that he has masters degrees in all the requirements and soon to have a PhD in one of the requirements. He was recruited in 1999 for a similar position, then a hiring freeze was Implemented, and he took an hourly merchandising role with the promise of moving to professional in 6 months. That promise never came and we moved back to Tennessee. Now this job is open and he is very qualified, what are some good tips to get the resume pass the "computer", how much should he ask for, I have read that Disney pays slightly above the 50 percentile and have read Disney pays too low. How does Disney's professional interview process work? And how should he "sell" himself and lastly what is asked during an interview. This is long and I am sorry, just want him to be very prepared. Any advise would help. Also this is for a professional position not internship and not CP. seems every blog is CP or interns.

One questions that I was asked (and this is no lie) was: What Disney Character describes you.

Threw me for a loop, but it is an interesting thought exercise

To begin, Disney loves to hire from within. So, if he only stayed in his hourly role for 6 months, that may work against you. They prefer people who have shown devotion from the start. Nearly all the top executives started hourly.

On that note, to insure the experienced qualified Cast Members have a better chance, they give them hints as to what key words must be said in the interviews.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from trying, however, you need to be very much in a theme park/ media synergy mindset with practical knowledge if the way the company works on all levels, keeping in mind that guest satisfaction and profit are priority.
