Seven Dwarfs Vs Gringotts Coaster.
which one are you more excited by and why?
simple, basically which one are you more excited by and why?
I have to say I am excited by both, Seven dwarfs because it is going to add some much needed love to the magic kingdom and I like the idea that they are making snow white popular again. But Gringotts has to clinch it for me because I really believe Universal are going to pull all the stops for this, and I believe it's going to be a bit like forbidden journey, the mummy and transformers all rolled into one.
But what do you think....
I find Gringotts' technology to be really impressive, so I gotta side with Universal on this one. Bringing back Snow White is nice though, it's good to see the classics get some love.
Since I don't know much about what the Gringotts Coaster would look like, I am more excited with Seven Dwarfs; the animated video of the ride looks promising, and having their songs inside the mine is going to be pure magic. Looking forward to the AAs as well.
Not a contest, Gringotts. It's hyped to be the best ride of all time. Ofcourse, that's not to say SD,T won't be good, since I'm sure it'll be good.
Definitely the Gringotts Coaster! The SDMT looks like it will be a cutesy family-friendly coaster -- kinda like Splash Mountain on a coaster track, IMO. I'm sure fans will love it, but I cannot wait for the new thrills in Diagon Alley!

I hope SDMT will be an exciting ride, more so than Big Thunder Mt which I've heard it to be compared to. Unfortunately, when a major new ride is "family-ized" such as SeaWorlds's Antarctica, it will turn into a huge fail. I think Gringott's will be more than expected because Universal doesn't feel the need to dumb down rides so that both 3 year olds and 83 years olds can ride it.
Looking forward to both equally but for very different reasons.
Gringotts has been hyped to the nines and should be a very good ride, visually I expect it to be stunning and the track itself looks pretty good in the video.
SDMT however, im a sucker for Disney Classics. This is what Disney parks should be about. Classic movies that I and my children grew up with, turned into rides that we can enjoy and carry on that Disney Magic.
I love USO and IOA, love them. However, stepping off the monorail or the boat and walking up to Magic Kingdom with the Train and the gates. For me, thats when vacation feels real. I have been several times and on every occasion bar one, MK has been our first park, the one time we did IOA first, it felt wrong. Like I had told my wife I had to work late and then went to the pub with some mates.
In regards to whether seven dwarfs will be toned down to let more of the little ones on, from the construction updates i have been seeing, theres a few steep drops, steeper than i expected and the drops look bigger then thunder railroad, so I hope that there are a few thrilling bits to the ride as well as immersive just to give it that bit more of an edge.

Seven Dwarves. I'm somewhat aware of what they'll make Gringotts like, but I'm curious as to what they'll come up with for Seven Dwarves.

Gringotts. Heck, its Harry Potter!
Universal has a much better material to work with, but I think Gringotts is receiving a lot of hype and it may be a new Antarctica.
Universal creative core competence is mixing 3D screens with rides, while Disney’s is mixing AA with rides. I don’t think that a roller coaster works well with screens, due to the velocity, but it works well with AAs. So in my opinion Disney has an Edge in this matter.
Universal only indoor coaster, Mummy, is not a fantastic ride. It is much easier to accomplish a masterpiece like Transformers or FJ when your start point is Spider Man, than to do the same when your starting point is mummy!!!
If Seven Dwarfs turns to be an advanced BTM, with cute sounds and AA, it will be a great ride. And I think that it will be much more elaborated and detailed than Gringotts.
