Silver Dollar City

Fire-In-The-Hole is a track ride in Hugo's Hill Street at Silver Dollar City. While it's not the best, it is also recommended. The minimum height to ride is 36 inches.

More dark ride than coaster, Fire-in-the-Hole propel riders slowly past various scenes of stalwart firemen battling a blaze set by a group of vigilantes known as the Baldknobbers. A few surprise dips and splashdown serve to provide some minor, but welcome thrills.

The amount of water involved in the "splashdown" is completely controlled by the ride ops, and is minimized during colder weather.

Guests 36" to 42" tall may ride with an adult companion.

My daughters loved this ride. It has enough thrills to be fun for them but isn't scary or too much for kids. There are also some strange dark ride scenes that will charm theme park fans that want more from their amusement parks.

Fire-in-the-Hole is a dark ride that uses a coaster train to propel riders slowly past various scenes of a town in serious trouble. Overall the ride is quite fun and imminently repeatable. Keep in mind that this ride is not a fast moving indoor coaster, but a slow moving dark ride with a few thrills thrown in for good measure. Definitely worth a visit or two, but not a must do if you've ridden before.

Great, classic ride. Low on thrills but a wonderful dark ride that my kids cannot miss.
