Hey everyone! Curious if you think the Velocicoaster will soft open or have a normal opening and a line stretching to citywalk?

I’m thinking it will be on Virtual Line all summer since it’s not realistic to do a three hour physically distanced line. Possibly come up with a way to give onsite guests priority or advanced booking.
Fans have been trying to predict soft openings for years, and almost always get them wrong. It's even harder to do now with park operations turned upside down with pandemic restrictions and precautions. I think any soft opening for Velocicoaster will be brief and limited, and that the official opening of the coaster will be scheduled based on predictions for when Universal feels that they can safely increase capacities.
However, as Aaron has noted, it's likely that access to the coaster after it officially opens will be solely managed through a virtual queue with on-site guests and APs given preferential access.
