Adventure Mountain reviews
Theme Park Insider takes a look back at Adventure Mountain, a playground at Dollywood that's no longer open.
Written by Robert Niles It's a playground for grown-ups. Adventure Mountain features three distinct obstacle courses, of varying difficulty, with rope trails, net ladders, swinging bridges and other tasks. For younger kids (ages 2-6), the area will include a scaled-down play area, called Camp Teachittoomee.
"Adventure Mountain is a harnessed, interactive experience for explorers over 42 inches in height in good physical condition. Three adventures will dare each explorer with more than 140 different interactive outdoor challenges, ranging from easy to expert. Navigate rugged rope trails, net ladders and swinging bridges and more as explorers challenge themselves or their friends and family in a competition of agility and skill. For those junior explorers there are two additional adventures at Camp Teachittoomee, each with two individual paths, both of which are ADA accessible. Celebrate the outdoors, challenge yourself and learn about the environment of the Great Smoky Mountains! Choose Your Adventure: Geyser Gorge, Black Bear Cliff, or Rocky Top Trail..."
