Daredevil FallsFlume rideMinimum height to ride: 42 inches About Daredevil FallsLarge boats are boarded on a moving platform and ride through a sawmill before plunging from a waterfall billed as the "highest and fastest in America." You WILL get wet on this one! These are rubber (solid, not inflated) boats that hold up to six people. They load you from large (to the rear) to smaller (front), so you may end up having a stranger between you and your kids. Your legs will be beside the person in front of you. This is a f-a-s-t ride, but fun. Even the little folks seem to like it. Beware if you don't like walking up the long side of a hill to get to this ride. It is the most inaccessible ride in the park. If you've ever been to Dollywood, it's above Dreamland Forest (where kids love to run through the water jets). -- Last edited by Douglas Slaten [Update this description | Read previous versions] Photos from Daredevil FallsSafety
Readers' Opinions
This ride is the shining glory of waterfall rides. The theming is pretty acceptable, the ride itself is a blast, and the crew does a pretty good job of getting you on and off the ride. There's a little part(just before the lift hill)where a conveyer belt pulls you to the lift hill.Sometimes, your car gets too close to the car in front of you,and the conveyer belt stops to let the other car go ahead. If this happens, don't freak out(like I did)!A Perfect ten from me! - Brandon Green This is really a fun attraction, and you get very wet! It has also been a lesser known ride in recent years due to its location in the park, but it is still a blast. - Michael Newsom My wife and I rode this last year several ties in a row due light patronage and had a wonderful time. I love getting her wet> - Russ Holthaus
