Knoebels

Knoebels Amusement Park and Resort is located northeast of Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Knoebles is the largest family run, free admission park in the country. Opened in 1926, it is located in the heart of the Alleghenies in a very pretty valley. The Knoebles family is known for going to old parks, saving rides from demolition, moving and restoring them. They also sometimes build exact reproductions of vintage rides. This means they have an eclectic group of rides of all kinds and for all ages. It is home to such antiques like the Fly-O-Plane, a carousel from 1913, and a whip. This is not a thrill park but a class act family park with great food and two world class wooden rollercoasters. Knoebles also has a huge swimming pool, laser tag, arcades and mini golf for a separate admission. You can also camp inside the park. How cool it that!

Knoebels continues to embrace the past while attracting a growing number of visitors. The name is pronounced K-nobles by the way.
