Whirligig

Swing ride

Description

A traditional, county-fair type swing ride when the chairs attached to the ceiling via chain lift turn clockwise, with the ceiling making a slight tilt. I'm sure the Orange Stinger at California Adventure, despite cheapness, beats this hands down.

This ride is fun, however, it does not come up to Wave Swinger at Navy Pier. Whirligig is smaller and slower. - Kelly Fleming

Your basic "swing, tilt n spin" but still kinda fun. Probably the most relocated ride at Great America. Originally located next to the covered part of the queue where Iron Wolf (and formerly Z-Force stood) stands, then relocated to where V2 is now, and finally relocated next to Batman. Glad they kept it tho, nice fun little ride. - James Csonka

I've only gone on this once, and it's just you're basic swing ride. But it's really good if you have little kids. Some of you're party goes on Batman, and some takes the kids on these. - Kelly DiMaria

It looks great at night, and you can see the Batman line from looking above. Zierer makes nice swings. - R S
