Location: Six Flags Over Georgia is located on Interstate 20, just west of Atlanta.

Six Flags Over Georgia
275 Riverside Parkway
Austell, GA 30168

History: Six Flags Over Georgia opened in 1967 and is the second park in the Six Flags chain, after the original opening in 1961 in Texas.

The park is not owned by the Six Flags Theme Parks Corporation. In an arrangement similar to that for Six Flags Over Texas, it is owned by a group of approximately 120 limited partners and managed by Six Flags.

Hours: http://www.sixflags.com/overgeorgia/info/parkinfo.aspx. Six Flags Over Georgia is open from March through Halloween.

Tickets: Buy and print online. Always try to buy your tickets in advance, to save time when you get to the park.

Reservations: Six Flags Over Georgia sells Flash Passes, which offer priority boarding opportunities. For much more, you can buy a VIP tour, which allows you and your group to skip all the lines.

Strategy: As with any amusement park, arrive early (at least :30 minutes before opening) and hit the headliner attractions first (coasters). Once the coaster tour is complete, make sure to hit the Monster Mansion as it is a fairly unique themed dark ride and somewhat of a classic.
