Elitch Gardens future closing?

December 26, 2018, 6:31 PM

I understand Elitch Gardens sometime in the future is on the chopping block of being closed for good and I was wondering is their any possibility that the park can re open in another location in the Denver region? Perhaps the new location could make the park much bigger and expand that’s if it were ever to come back. I understand the current spot in the city will be used for redevelopment use like entertainment, retail, etc.

Elitch Gardens isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The River Mile project is in it's infancy and as of now the plans include keeping the amusement park somewhat intact. Whether that changes with the city council vote remains to be seen. Revesco is the developer and does have ownership in Elitch's as well. It will still be 4-5 years before any solid progress is made on the development and anyone can actually live there.
