I see that holiday worlds new coaster thunderbird is being dubbed B& M's first launch coaster, not first winged launch coaster but first launch coaster. Even though a separate company did the launch part of hulk at IOA wouldn't that still be the first B & M launch coaster?

There is a video of the Universal Team working out the launch system. It was kinda basic but it did the job.

B&M did not design the launch system on Hulk, it was created by Universal Creative. The track and trains are B&M, but that launch system (the only high-speed friction launch I can think of) is not B&M.
Thunderbird is the first coaster by B&M where they designed it with a launch.
