So, I have been thinking for a while, what if epic universe was a movie? I know, I know, read the title, but its a nice thought. Kabletown, a MOVIE STUDIO spent 8 billion dollars on a theme park with a nice story you get to live. if the movie does well, ( I mean how couldn't it, it combines all your favorite movies into one cohesive movie) it would benefit the theme park and vica versa. Plus it could help and expand with the favorite complaint, the celestial park lore. I know I am going to get blasted in the comments, but i still want to hear what you think about it
Sorry Epic but, even though your idea is a fun one, I'm rarely a fan of movies based on rides.
It works in reverse obviously and film franchises are a good source for attraction ideas.
I like the POTC movies , for example, but I'm opposed to those films then "reverse-influencing" the original rides. They should've been left to our own imaginations .
Love the Jack Sparrow and Barbossa characters but they don't work for me in the ride.
Most of the other movies that have been made based on attractions have been sadly forgettable and might even have hurt the concept of the rides themselves because they're creating back stories that not everyone agrees with.
I think the only reason a theme park (as a whole) should be its own movie would be as a setting for the feature film - think Saving Mr. Banks or Adventureland.
I wouldn't hate a movie on the "celestials" on how the portals came to be and how they used them to hop around different "worlds". If not a movie a dark ride in the hub about this would be amazing!
perhaps like a tv series
Ask yourself this question: If I were to show Celestial Park to someone at random with no context and no background information, would they be interested in paying $20 to know more about it? Your answer to that will tell you why there'd be no market for an Epic Universe movie.
thank you, thats what im trying to say
Logistically, a nightmare. I know Disney pulled off a Theme-park based movie franchise (once: pirates of the Caribbean) but failed three other times (haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, and Jungle cruise). Any epic universe "movie" will be a pre-show to a ride in the park, or a movie based on one of the preexisting IPs.
