Amid rumours of the Grand Floridian receiving refurbs of it's rooms and, more importantly, it's lobby may I just make one request ?
PLEASE DO NOT BUILD A TOWER
For me they ruined the ambience and theming of the Polynesian with an incongruous tower block so let's not screw up The GF as well for goodness sake.
Thoughts?
There are already DVC units in the Grand Floridian, so I highly doubt they would build a tower like has been done at the Poly and Contemporary, which both did not have DVC units (aside from the Poly bungalows) before those towers were added.
I have read a lot of complaints about the current lobby renovation, but the concept drawings seem to suggest an understanding of the theme to preserve the space while still maintaining consistency with the original design.
I’d like to think they wouldn’t build anything high enough in such close proximity to the park that might be visible enough to ruin sight lines from within.
