The Making of Baron 1898 Part 2 (Efteling)

Edited: November 17, 2014, 3:38 PM

Baron 1898 is taking shape

Steel framing for the entrance hall is complete,
a team of bricklayers are coming in to complete the outside (I love the quality Efteling puts into their product, would have been much easier to paint up a faux exterior, but bricks adds to the steampunk feel).

The mine shaft is underway (apparently they will have to battle through a frosty winter) and track pieces are being shipped to the site.

I'll be visiting Efteling next year when this ride opens & so I hope to put a trip report below.

What do you guys think of this ride so far?
Do you think they'll be able to stick to schedule despite a european winter build?

And here is part 3!

I'm loving the attention to authenticity that the ride designers are putting into this ride. I'll let you know how it goes when i ride it next year!
