For the UK Parks:

If you want a lot of rides, densely packed in a tight area, and/or want to ride classic wooden coasters, Pleasure Beach Blackpool is the place to go.

If you're after high intensity thrills, I'd err towards Thorpe Park.

If you're after a park for the kids, Chessington world of Adventure, or Legoland Windsor are for you.

And if you're after a good mix, Alton Towers and Drayton Manor are your star attractions.

From what I have read Efteling and Europa park look promising.

First choice(s) for me would be Disneyland Paris and the Studios Park. For the obvious reasons of course, experiencing a Disney park that is in another country. Then...

Efteling because of its influence on Disney.

Europa Park - They have geodesic dome. With a roller coaster inside!

Port Aventura - Because it was once was owned by Universal. And I've never been to Spain, but I've been to Oklahoma.

Europa Park > Efteling > Blackpool Pleasure Beach > Disneyland Paris > Alton Towers

No interest in Thrope Park, Port Aventura, Asterix Parc.

Missing some great parks in your list of choices such as Heide Park, Tivoli Gardens, and the Legoland Parks.

Thanks Court E! Great answer!

If people are unable to pick one, perhaps they could list them in order of preference?

My first choice would be Alton Towers because that park looks excellent and I've wanted to go ever since it appeared as an RCT scenario. My second choice would be Europa Park because everyone I know who has visited says its one of the best parks in the world (and the best in Europe), and it seems almost like a non-Disney version of Disneyland (filled with Mack prototypes).

Most of the other European parks I have a strong interest in visiting are not on the above list, namely Heide Park Resort (Germany's biggest thrill park), Holiday Park (Expedition GeForce is one of the best steel coasters in the world), Liseberg (Balder, Helix, Kanonen, Lisebergbahn, and a number of other cool rides plus a really good year-round haunted house), Phantasialand (looks like a really good theme park), and Toverland (this one's mostly for Troy). I have already been to Disneyland Paris and would like to visit the other parks on the list, they just don't take priority over those I've listed.

I have been to DLP. Its a must go!

I would probably say Effling because of it inspired Walt Disney.

I'm very excited about Efteling and Europa Park!

Has anyone been to Asterix Parc? I loved the Asterix series as a kid so the park seems like a really fun idea, but wondering if its done well?
