Do I own Bob Chapek an apology? maybe.( here Is why)
It was a time of trouble and turmoil for the Walt Disney Company, the world was in shutdown for the COVID epidemic, Bob Iger, former CEO of Disney just had a very well regarded ternure, ( the streaming Disney+ fiasco was Iger idea, but Chapek took the brunt of the crítics) , there was a very public dispute with Florida Governor DeSantis, the mishandling of the Black Widow movie, and a series of stunning, fans rage Inducing changes at the parks operations, such as magical expréss cancelled starting 2022, there was no free overnigth parking (did come back in 2023 i think) , in 2021 Disney Genie ( for a upcharge) was introduced instead of the fastpsss and its variants, tickets prices up, Etc, Etc.
In the middle of this storm was Bob Chapek, in the limeligth for being the visible face of Disney Managment.
I do admit I was one of those with the pitchfork, the torches and the outrage of the wounded consumer. I cheered when Chapek was Ousted and Iger ( everybody's knigth in silver amor ) came back. That was 2022.
Now It Is 2026. No Bob Chapek to be found.
But the magical Expréss Is not back. Disney Genie Is gone, but ligthling Lane Is here, and Is not free. Prices are up in Theme Park tickets, in hotel reservations, in food ítems, in seperated experiences, in merchandise. Rides lines are bottlenecks and the pathways aré crowded even if parks are not at full capacity. Perhaps I was seeing the symptoms, but not the problem.
Perhaps Is the combination of Corporate Greed that wants More Money, every single Quarter, ALL THE TIME, with the strange behavior patterns of so called Disney Adults, thet spend more ( way more ) that their means allows ( subject of another day).
Mmmmm.
I do not know if Mr. Chapek ever reads this things...but if he does, if somebody can tell him about this....

i beg to differ. if you put a number of people in a in a big hole, and this group instead of coming together to excavate a túnel or build steps to get away from the hole, the majority of the group acted as individuals to dig an even deepper hole, well they need a lot of things, but not an apology.

I always hate it when I catch a bad case of interia.
I don't think you owe Mr. Chapek ("The Rookie") an apology. But you probably owe one to "Disney Adults".
