Green Lantern - Movie World (Australia) suffers major failure

Green Lantern rollercoaster at Warner Bros. Movie World Australia, appears to have lost one of its wheels during a full cycle.

No injuries reported, but something terribly wrong has happened here.

Just to update this, there were injuries (one man had broken ribs and a punctured lung) and the ride car completely de-railed from the track. Apparently rescue authorties were at first unsure what stopped the cart from crashing to the ground. This was a major failure for a very young coaster. The cause is yet to be determined.

There is always the risk of a catastrophic failure of a part due to hidden flaws during manufacture. With all the possible outcomes, it could have been worse.
