Today, the official Universal blog announced that Wet & Wild will close the last day of December 2016. Any conjecture what will be built on that property? The property is the park, parking lot, and operation buildings , plus Universal has a portion of the lake which is shared with the adjacent non Universal hotels.

It's going to be another Hotel or two. I guarantee it. Universal has been approved for 10,000 hotel rooms and they're only at 4,200, or 5,200 if you count Sapphire Falls. Universal may build a 3rd gate somewhere one day, but it won't be at the wet n wild spot.

It makes sense with the new Volcano water themed park Universal is building.
Of course we will all speculate what to do with that land. It is a bit away from the other Universal properties in Orlando...
Not sure if it would be a good place for a Hotel... Maybe it will just sit there as land for sale...
